We could certainly use some glorious weather here! I need to build an annex to my house to store my finished albums!MTCanuk wrote: ↑Wed Mar 26, 2025 12:12 pmJust in from walking and it is glorious outside. How the weather can really improve one’s mood. Unbelievable, but we are headed for 68degrees today. I am going to soak it all in!
Off to jump in the shower. Want to do a little cleaning, then free to create. Got a couple more done yesterday. Need to make room in one of the spare rooms for filled up albums.
That’s my day in a nut shell.
Rain can sometimes be a blessing and sometimes a burden. Stay safe!!blbabe1234 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 26, 2025 12:46 pmGood morning cherries. Feeling pretty good today. Went on a 15-min walk this morning, washed bedsheets and been working at my desk. Will have to move over to the recliner soon, I can feel it. Ran into town earlier to go by Earthwise to pick up CBD oil for the pups. I wasn't planning on doing that until this weekend, but our rain chances are ramping up and I'd like to be prepared. Last weekend, they said we'd get about a half an inch Wed evening to Thursday afternoon. But last night, it changed to 3-6 inches of rain Wed afternoon thru Friday morning. AND NOW.....4 to 9 inches of rain between now thru Friday afternoon. LOTS of humidity in the air. And as much as I don't want it to flood, or having other issues, we desperately need the rain. Hasn't rained in a few months and we are in a Severe Drought.
Hope everyone has a great day.

Thought about putting it down but we have high wind warnings this afternoon and that won't work with trying to lay mulch. Tomorrow will be a better day. Made some chicken soup for our daily grazing and now I plan to head to my craft space.
Enjoy your flower planting! I used to really enjoy my flowers.

I'm pretty sure it's JUST my fibromyalgia trying to flare up! I rebuke it!
Other than that, I'm doing ok! Therapy went well yesterday, and I got a sweet card from a lovely Cherry and I mostly just rested yesterday. I WANTED to move some MORE things around but I felt kind of drained and it's probably fibromyalgia smh but you know what? I'm gonna have a good day regardless!
I'm gonna work on my collage! I have things cut out for it, and an assortment of mediums and goodies from here, so I'm excited!Time JUST got away from me yesterday, but I didn't do MUCH at all!
I'm feeling very blessed and I hope you ALL have a blessed day, as well, Cherries!![]()

Never enough room for all the albums. I use We R Memory keeper D ring albums. Each grandkid has their own colour album. They are labeled and numbered on their spine. I have 2 smaller Kalex units from Ikea stored in a spare bedroom. Those shelves are pretty much filled. There is also a raised bed in this room that has storage under it where they will now go.VickiR wrote: ↑Wed Mar 26, 2025 1:13 pmSunshine is good for the soul, definitely!! Mood change... How do you store your filled albums? A book shelf? I need a better system for mine. My SIL's are incredible. She has a book shelf with about 20 of them all dated and labeled on the spine.MTCanuk wrote: ↑Wed Mar 26, 2025 12:12 pmJust in from walking and it is glorious outside. Mine are We R Memory Keeper D rings also. They are the best ever. I had to laugh at the color coding because mine are too. I just need a shelf deep enough to hold them. The shelf I have is too shallow. TY!MTCanuk wrote: ↑Wed Mar 26, 2025 2:59 pmNever enough room for all the albums. I use We R Memory keeper D ring albums. Each grandkid has their own colour album. Planting is minimal now. These old knees don't do well with it any more. Most of my flowers are perennial now. I used to edge the flowers beds with annuals all the way around. No more....emmapaige wrote: ↑Wed Mar 26, 2025 2:31 pmVickiR wrote: ↑Wed Mar 26, 2025 1:00 pmWe were out early to pick up the mulch for flower beds. Yes, we use the powdered Preen on the dirt in the flower beds. The mulch is treated with Preen too for extra weed control. We get very few weeds using this. I rarely have to pull any.JollyHollyScraps wrote: ↑Wed Mar 26, 2025 2:12 pmMy sister gets the Preen, too, I think! My nephews have their own color too! Didn't start doing that until my SIL had Jasper. Makes it easy!!! Currently, Draven has 2 and Japser is on his way to having a 2nd album. The other 2 littles have only one. Thanks for the idea to have them numbered!!! Would definetly make it easy!

Lots of good memories, but yes, very exhausting. It took us 3 years. I hope you are able to take care of it in much less time, Barb. Hugs!pawprints wrote: ↑Wed Mar 26, 2025 9:39 amHey Cherries. Still chilly here. In the 40s with wind chills in the 30s. Winter just keeps hanging on. I never did scrap yesterday. I ended up going over to my mom’s house to do more packing and clearing out. It’s exhausting both physically and mentally. Today I have to make a Costco run and do some picking up around here before my cleaning ladies get here this afternoon. I may get to digi scrap while they’re here. We’ll see how it goes.
Have a great day Cherries.
Thanks. Mom and dad bought this house in 1965. We watched it being built. We used to drive out from Queens and visit it on weekends. I can remember my sister and I walking around it when it was framed out excited to point out which rooms were ours. So yeah, they were in that house a LONG time, and believe me there are things in that house that moved with us from Queens in the 60s! So much to go through. We are hoping to sell it soon so we are moving along. It is bittersweet, and exhausting.

SNOW?!! Wow!! We just had an expected thunderstorm pass through. And then the sun came out and it was pouring. I can't believe there was no rainbow because it was the perfect condition for one. Boo!Laura wrote: ↑Wed Mar 26, 2025 9:54 amHello, Cherries!
While it's not sticking, I've got SNOW! Really big flakes blowing in from across the lake. Another day of not getting out of the 30's!!
I've got dusting on the agenda today, as well as budgeting for the haul of medical bills from my disastrous January episodes! Wouldn't you know . . . all of my medical issues started ramping up on January 10 . . . right after the deductibles for the year had reset. But, it will all get dealt with.
Have a great day ALL!

Poor Rosie! I am glad she is ok now!Charleneanne wrote: ↑Wed Mar 26, 2025 11:27 amMorning. Not sure what I’m doing out of bed at this hour lol but here I am. Lunch out for a friends bday -she chose Cracker Barrel which is a fav of mine.
been kind of a rough week. Rosie disappeared a few days ago. I searched. My neighbors searched. My sons came over and searched. And then she was back but all tore up. Pitiful, bloody and several puncture wounds to her face. My neighbor next door is a retired RN and cares for Rosie when I’m traveling so fortunately Rosie likes her. She came and tended to my poor girl and treated her wounds. I managed to keep her indoors or in the garage for 2 days and then presto bang she was out in the yard! Don’t know how she got out. Had everything closed up and blocked. lol. At any rate she’s fine and back to her regular schedule. She is 13 years old and hasn’t slept in the house at night since she was a tiny kitten maybe 6 months old. So I am a bit sleep deprived from her coming into my bedroom every two hours at night to ask to b let out. lol.
and so is the life of an old widow woman and her cat! lol have a fun day.
