Hey Cherries 😊
WHERE is Spring? 😂 It's supposed to reach 60 today but I have the heat on right now!
Been a busy couple of days for me.  Yesterday I ended up working late for a coworker who ALSO sent me some cash to stay and cover for her! It was a win-win for me! 💯 I was able to get more time on the clock AND buy a few more groceries!
Off the next two days. Today I plan on doing junking some more clutter, and moving some things around. (Some stuff from the middle goes into my bedroom, some go in the living room - some arts and crafts stuff in the living room are going to the middle room!)
It feels good to get some things done around here. I mean, working and having a cold have taken a LOT of my energy this week; I would like to see faster results with this changing around of the rooms but I have to remind myself that everything takes time!
(Incidentally, I'm STILL very slowly reading Decluttering At The Speed of Life. It's a good book!)

I never did get back to collage yet- AND the month is FLYING BY! So, I'm gonna carve out some time for that! I'm STILL wanting to do at LEAST one layout! The challenges are SO good but I've not had much extra time this month. 🤷🏻
However, I am tickled pink to have won an embossing folders giveaway! ☺️ I have a few and REALLY wanted to use more of them in the future! ESPECIALLY for card making! Y'all make some of the prettiest cards I've EVER seen! 😍

I'm still having coffee, Cherries 😂 Taking my time this morning to catch up around here; I love you Cherries! Stay blessed 🍒❤️😊

Spring is trying to blow in quickly here....it is so windy!  About 50 degrees.  Still going to get cold again mid-week, but by the weekend, we should have our warm-up.  Enjoy your 2 days off and I hope you find time for some crafting!

Good morning! DH has an appointment with his pulmonologist this afternoon as a follow up to his lung surgery, of course I will go with him because he is still wheezing.

I hope your DH's follow-up goes well!

Good morning cherries. Where did the weekend go? It zoomed by way too fast....

I'm slowly getting back to normal, doing more things, but still need to be careful not to do too much and stil rest up. I had a very busy last 3 days. Friday, I made sure to reserve my energy in the morning so I could go to the monthly DAR meeting in the afternoon. I had missed in last month due to not being able to drive. And I overdid it Wednesday, so I rested up on Thursday. I drove for the first time  since I had just been released to do that as of March 18th. That trip wore me out. 30 mins going out there, 1.5 hr meeting (with a break half way) and then almost 40 mins to drive home (due to traffic and stoopid pooples.). DH knew that wore me out so we went out for Mexican food. I can't say no to chips and salsa. 😋

Saturday we went and go groceries. Home to put those away, make a quick breakfast and DH helped me start laundry. Then we were off again to Home Depot and PetCo. Home where I rested up until it was time to leave to head out to my bio dad's place. Visited a bit and had burgers and fries for dinner. I got to meet Sadie - their new dog they adopted 2 months ago. She's about 3 and a corgi mix. She is soooooooo CUTE. I was tired when we got home. Again..rested until bedtime.

Tried sleeping in but my sinuses were causing problems Sunday morning. EARLY....up at 5:10am...DH got up too and so did the pups. Rested/relaxed all morning. DH made omlettes for breakfast and we headed into town to go to Sprout's and Joann's. Bare shelves are starting to appear throughout the store. 20 to 50% off on most stuff, with Christmas 80%. They still had tons of Bazzill so I grabbed about 45 sheets of that, along with the WRMKs  Project Cart, some small Christmas gift bags, 2 TH inks, 2 embossing folders, a stamp set with a bunch of little words. A couple of home decor items. Spent a little more than expected, but still did good. Saved like $90.

Got home and was PLANNING on scrapping but my body gave out. I sat in the recliner, watched a bit of TV and passed out for 2 hrs. When I woke up, cut up the fresh pineapple, unloaded the dishwasher and DH helped me make dinner. Then watched TV until bedtime. Slept in by an hour this morning...totally shut off my alarm. I was quite sore yesterday. Feeling better today. I went on my walk this morning, cutting it in half to make sure I don't over do it. I'm still doing okay..no pain...no swollen belly..no fatigue. I'm going to try to be extra careful this week as I was invited to lunch on Thursday by the DAR ladies and would like to go.

Speaking of DAR...my application has been officially sent out to the Nation office!!! It's been a crazy wild ride. The 2 lines on my mother's side are good, just missing ONE document each to prove the lineage. So the registrar suggested we try my paternal line. I had to have two extra documents because Charlie isn't listed on my BC and the fact we had to take a paternity test 5 yrs ago. Within 2 weeks, BAM! She found one! My 7th great grandfather Lambert Lane. AND...not only is he already listed in DAR as a Patriot, his daughter and his grand daughter have already been proven. All the documentation was easy peasy...crazy...if we had started with this line to begin with..my application would have been approved before December!

So at Friday's meeting, I signed my application (along with the Registrar and Regent of the local chapter) and they will send it off today. Should here back sometime in June or July as it has been taking 3-4 months to get them complete. Whew!

Anyways...back to work for me...have a great Monday.

Wow, Brandy!  For someone who is supposed to be taking it easy, you are busy, busy, busy! ;)  I'm sad about Jo-Ann's...plan to make a trip to the store about 30 minutes from me this week. We'll see what they have left.  I went right after the announcement to get some stuff for our musical costumes, but most of the stuff was still full price, then.  That's terrific about your DAR application!

Lazy day here....it started raining around 11 last night and it rained all night long and is still raining.  Everything is nice and green and my daffodils are blooming.  Not sure what the high is today, but it's currently 51 which is warmer than predicted.  Today, I'm finishing up a couple of cards and then may work on a challenge.  Tomorrow I will be gone all day doing errands and meeting KP for lunch.  Taking DGD to dress rehearsal at 5 for her recital next weekend.  So, no crafting for me tomorrow.
We had all that rain this weekend.  Now it is just crazy windy!  lol  Have a great day!

Have a great day Cherries.

Hey, Cherries!  We're really windy and sitting at 40 degrees!  Spring is nowhere to be seen around here!

I FINALLY have caught up on my workload, so today I can concentrate on all the house stuff that's been getting ignored!  Mopping and laundry on the list for me today!

Hope everyone has a great start to their week!

Laura, hope you get those chores done so you can play during your break!!!

I placed my preorder yesterday! Thank goodness I don't have to get the adorable kitty Bella Pops because I have a Bella Pop and Doodlepop addiction! I almost ordered them just because they are so stinkin' cute!!! Lol!

Hi Cherries! What a weekend we had! Ugh! Thankfully Mama 2 goose isn’t limping anymore. We had to capture Blackie the rooster and his sister Blondie on Saturday night. Then last night we had to capture Chip (who made a beeline for the door as soon as Steve opened it and got out. Ronnie had been the one out all night instead of Spot. So we got them last night and so all were in the bigger and safer coop. He’s only feeding them up there so that should help keep them safer. It’s a nice wooden structure that a friend gave us a couple of years ago. Anyway it was tough but we did it! There’s SO MUCH more to learn about this lifestyle! Lolol!

I also got a layout finished yesterday. Took me awhile because I wanted to stitch on it and my embroidery thread was in the cabin. lol! So I need to post it today.

It’s STILL raining here. We’re getting some breaks in between showers but not much sunshine. :( It’s supposed to go up to 51 on Wednesday but it’s the only day that doesn’t have rain predicted.

I need to do a couple of chores and then I can play. :)

Hope you’re all having a wonderful day!!!

Yes Brandy.  We had a predator attack on Friday morning.  Steve found our lone surviving duck (from last year's attack) dead in the coop.  He came in to get the fire started for heat and to tell me.  When he went back out to get Shirley to bury her she was gone.  So in broad daylight it came back into the coop and took her.  She was loved by all the birds and us too because she had such a happy personality.  We've determined that it's a weasel called a fisher cat and this is our second attack - we had two within 2 days last year.  So we decided to move all of the birds to a better coop.  We'd been planning to do it for awhile but Steve was working on the water system when he wasn't working on keeping the fire going to keep us warm.  We moved all but 1 bird up to the better coop on Saturday and noticed that our lone female goose was limping.  Glad to see that 1 1/2 days in the coop gave her leg enough time to heal.  :)  Then last night we got the one hen that we couldn't find on Friday night and the other hen that had run out of the coop and we took them to the other coop too.  Both nights we waited for them to go into their coop for the night when it's a little easier to get them.  We put them in a tote with a lid and drove them up to the other coop.  Our property is about 3 acres so it's uphill and at the top of the property.  So it was a bit of a production to get it all done but we did it!  Now we just have to get them back in tonight - we're leaving all of the food in that coop so they have to get their goodies and feed up there.  That should tell them this is their new home.  :)
