There was no buyer for the remaining stores so they are ALL being closed. RIP JoAnn.   Another one bites the dust....

Although the only Joann's in my area is old, dusty and does not carry scrapbook stuff, its still sad!  Its the 
only place to purchase fabric and I still need curtains mmade (wwhen my aunt comes for a visit).  I have been with ACOT since 2008 or longer, and gone to 4 day crop weekends 3+ times a year in the past 5 years....  Scrapbooking is growing, not failing.  But the little stores cannot keep runing, which is sad, but thank god for ACOT!!!  Always here for us and we will always be there for them!!!

Well, they might not have helped but I think also bad management and things like that. I've seen complaints about how much fleece they have and less options for other things for people who make clothing. And home decor and stuff that's not crafting. Complaints about dirty stores and long lines because of lack of staff.

The company that won the auction has had a long history with JoAnn. And it begs the question why they didn't close stores during the previous bankruptcy to try and save some of it. IMO, they weren't trying to save anything - just getting them to tank faster.

What really stinks is not being able to see things in person. Yeah, you might be able to get sewing notions elsewhere, but unless you're getting stuff you've already have and therefore know the color and characteristics, you can't match colors online. I've used fabric to compare color when buying thread to get the best match. The other stores just don't have the selection that JoAnn's does.
