Scrap a Day, November 23rd
Hey Cherries. Cold today not coming out of the 40s. Getting a grocery delivery this afternoon which will include a fresh turkey. How I love delivery. The only good thing that came out of the pandemic. Hopefully today I can shake this lazy, “I don’t feel like doing anything” mood I’ve been in and actually do something productive. We’ll see how it goes.

Have great day Cherries.

44 degrees here and sunny.  We were out early to pick up a few groceries before the crazy started.  It's officially "soup Saturday", first of the season.  It will be chicken and vegetable today.  Working in my craft space and that's about it!

Re: Scrap a Day, November 23rd
I will have to venture out for my Thanksgiving shopping later today, but I will order as much as I can from Wal-Mart for pick up first. All day is focused on Thanksgiving prep and cleaning. Mostly cleaning, I guess, but I have no plan yet and kind of need that first.

But I'm going to also incorporate some mini album time in there, too. My mini is not as complex and deliciously layered as I wish it could be, but then I am just not good at that style, unfortunately. I still think it's fun (accordion) and if no one buys it next weekend, I already know how I'll use it myself. lol. This week has not been good. I definitely need some crafting time mixed in with the cleaning.

Hey Barb! 😊 Lol I agree with the delivery of everything being great! It's helpful for sure! 😊
I get the lazies sometimes too and they can be hard to shake lol I hope you can get a few things done today - THEN I hope you get crafty! ☺️

Soup sounds goods, Vicki! ☺️ It's chilly here, too and I'm gonna have to get a new Crock-Pot/slow cooker so I can make some chili! Lol!
Have a good day today! 😊

Awww, Anne-Marie, I hope you that much-needed crafting time! Hugs! Life can get so hectic sometimes, ESPECIALLY this time of the year!
Stay blessed, my friend! 😊

Re: Scrap a Day, November 23rd
We are in the deep freeze in the west. It’s only 21F out and it snowed most of yesterday. So about 3 inches of snow on the ground. Thankfully it didn’t warm up enough yesterday for us to get the freezing rain. Thank goodness. I didn’t venture out yesterday nor will I be going anywhere today. Curtis took Cooper home right after school yesterday instead of having someone on the road at 5pm when all the crazy go home traffic is out there.

I will be spending time in my craft space. Making a travel journal for my sister for Christmas, since we will be going on a Panama Canal cruise in Feb. And it’s almost done, so I want to finish it up today.

Happy Saturday! Stay warm.

Hey Cherries 😊
Chilly day here again! Lol!
Yesterday, I was ACTUALLY able to leave work early - which NEVER happens! I was delighted for sure! I picked up some groceries and cat food and came home- lol I ALMOST forgot to get the cat food! 😂 Brain fog at it's finest! 😂
I started a new art journal yesterday evening! I've been holding on to this beautiful journal for a good while, so it's time to use it! I started on the new art journal sketch, and it was a great way to relax after work! 😉
I plan on doing a little more tidying up around here, and then getting my arts and crafts on!
ALSO, I'm loving the Black Friday sales, AND I'm loving the hold my order feature! It's nice that I can buy one thing here and there and get it all sent out at one time- getting a box of goodies is great, but I have to stick with that darn budget! 😂
ALSO, I REALLY REALLY needed that Brutus Monroe Stitching template! I want to add MORE hand-stitching to my work, and this seems like an easier way to go about it!
AND I'm OFF on Thanksgiving, so that's a bonus! 😊
Stay blessed, Cherries! 🍒❤️😊

Oh, Leslee, I can't wait to see the album you're making for your sister! 😊
Cold weather is the BEST for a day of crafting! 😊 Enjoy! 😊

OK I realize I’m old(er) lol but just idly thinking how Thanksgiving is all about the food and time out of school and work etc now.  Not much talk about Pilgrims and Indians and thankfulness.   lol. Could b I’m so glum and morose cause it’s been rainy and grey and cold here for days and I have a bit of a sinus headache lol.   I have some Panera broccoli cheddar soup in the fridge.  I’m sure if I heat it up and have lunch, I’ll cheer right up and maybe do some Christmas shopping on the phone.

I also have a couple projects going on the craft table to work on.  Dinner is planned (leftovers) and I will start the fire in the pellet stove in a bit as well.

have a great Saturday and stay warm .

Hello everyone!
Just got back from Jason's first bowling tournament of the year.  He didn't do so well, but it's only the first.  They hung in as long as they could, but it's a long day and of course all these boys stayed up way too late.  Lesson learned!  lol

I've got some cleaning to do and then I'm going to play with some stencils and stencil butters!  so excited!

Enjoy the rest of your Saturday!

Sometimes we have to make the time to craft to keep our sanity! I know I do!!! When I want to try a style of something like layering I try to find a video on how others do it. Or I study layouts or cards to see if I can figure it out. I hope you have a better week!!!

We’re only a few degrees warmer than you are Leslee! And we have VERY strong winds too. Stay safe and warm!!!

We have nieces who have moved to the Kalispell area of Montana. Is that anywhere near you? I remember driving through Montana in 1990. It was incredible! I’m sure it’s te ally changed since then. :)

I love that you’re making your sister a journal for your cruise! My grandfather was in the army and he helped build the Panama Canal! I’m sure that will be an awesome cruise!

Your store is open on Thanksgiving day?!?!?! That’s crazy! Hopefully not normal hours but just a few in the morning! But I’m glad you have that day off!

The sales are awesome and I love the hold it feature too!!! I just finished mine PLUS I’ll be getting the Cherry Box! If you haven’t seen it OMG!!! It’s even more amazing than the previous ones!!!

Enjoy your crafty time!!!

I hope that delicious soup cheers you up! I’m not sure anyone teaches about the pilgrims and Indians anymore. :( That’s something these kids are really missing out on in our country’s history.

Hey Cherries! The wind here is still HOWLING and the high today is only 26! Tomorrow is 27. Then Monday it warms up to a whopping 34! Brrrr!!! This cabin was only supposed to be a temporary place to stay for maybe a year. This is our 8th winter here!!! So we’re both anxious to get out of here! And we’re getting close!!!

Steve has finally got lights working in all of the upstairs! We bought a used chandelier in 2019 and I’ve never seen it lit! Lol! He finally got it lit today!!!! It’s beautiful! And the others we ordered fro Amazon are gorgeous too. It’s finally coming together!!!

I thought I had my card fronts finished but I need 14 more so as I’m cooking dinner I’ll be working on them. We have the sentiment for the inside figured out too. So I should be able to finish them this weekend. Then I need to write and print the letter. I’m nice that’s done and we sign them and stuff the envelopes they will be done! I wanted them done by thanksgiving so I’m on track for once! Lol!

Hope you’re all having a great day!

Hi Ginny,
Kalispell is in the northwest side of the state. More in the mountains. Lots more traffic there. And I think the cost of living is also higher, especially housing. A good 4 hour drive from us. Curtis’ dad use to live up there. We are more centrally located.
