I am so excited!  I hear all the rage over Hobby Lobby stores.  So about 5 years ago one opened nearly an hour away from me.  But I had to see what it was all about!  And I loved it.  But never got back.  Over the holidays when dh and I decided to go to dinner at our favorite restaurant, HE saw a sign in the shopping center behind the restaurant - Hobby Lobby.  And he said 'isn't that the store for your scrapbooking stuff?' -  WOW!!!  So, since I was on the No Buy mode in January, I had to wait.  But my sil, mom and I decided to make a trip on weekend in February.  Mind you, this is still close to a 45 minute drive. 

THEN, last night he reads the paper and learns that a Hobby Lobby is opening up IN A MONTH in the area of our local mal!!!  OMG   ACOT has been my only place to shop, and will always be #1 to me but sometimes I realize I need a little something and I don't want to have to wait to order something...  So, I am really excited today.  And I am thinking of applying for a part time job there too, maybe getting a discount

I'm so excited for you!! I don't know what I would do without my box craft stores!! It's been awhile since we subscribed to the Sunday newspaper, but Hobby Lobby usually had a 50% off coupon in there!!! It'll make shopping much more sweeter!

Cool!  I'd love to get a Hobby Lobby close to me.  The closest to me is around 2 hours away.  And a part time job there?  How fun would that be?!?!?

You will be happy to have one nearby.  Good Luck with getting a job there!  I hear they pay better than most retail stores.  At least they do in our area.  And they are closed on Sundays!  I am on their e-mail list and I get coupons for 40% off every week.

One thing about HL though, they do not accept competitor coupons (ACM, M's, J's).

Yes, I love ACOT and shop here a lot, but there is nothing like going into a  great scrapbook shop and just looking and touching before you buy!!!  My favorite shop is 2 hours away now, so I always save up for road trips to Butler PA.  Kit Mania is March 5th, so every extra penny is being saved for that one:)

Our closest HL is about 75 min. Down the Interstate.  Don't get there unless I am making a Costco run!

How exciting!  We have one that is about 45 min away as well but I can never get there because the best day for me to do any fun shopping is Sunday and they aren't open on Sundays so it makes it almost impossible for me to go. Kind of a bummer. Good luck should you decide to apply for a job...would be a fun place to work!

Oh, that's great! I was so happy when we moved where we are now because there wasn't too much around our house, but there was a Hobby Lobby right down the street from our neighborhood entrance!  I go there often.  Pretty stuff for the house and good prices.  Lots of scrappy stuff.  I stock up there on glitter paper

The one in our town?  Only two blocks where I work from   But I got to admit I hardly ever go.  I find better prices online (plus no sales tax) and the convenience LOL

You are going to love Hobby Lobby. I can spend way to much time and money in there.lol I must be one of the lucky ones, I have a Hobby Lobby, Michael's and Joann's within a few minutes of each other and only about 15 minutes from me. Yep have to watch my wallet like a hawk, if it is not at ACOT it is at one of them. LOL

 There are none close by here either.  But when we go to Ocean City MD on vacation, I make my husband drive me to Salisbury because they have a HL.  Then when we visit his family in Ohio, there is one there with a Michael's across the street.  I would get the coupons on my phone for both stores and went about three times to each the week we were there using a new coupon each time. 

And they are closed on Sundays (just like Chick fil A) for religious reasons.

Yay! I'm so excited for you Ann! We have 2 Hobby Lobby's and they are wonderful! My fave is the one 8 mins away. It will never replace ACOT, but if you need adhesive or something in particular, and you can't wait, get it! And make sure you take advantage of their 40% off coupon, and their 50% sales! FYI - if you see "The Paper Studio" blow out sale, just know that in about 6-8 wks, they'll do it again.

There's a HL on Hamilton Blvd. in Trexlertown Pa.   Also I just saw online that one will be opening soon on Lincoln highway in Exton!!
