Hi I was wondering if anyone has the new cricut explore one and can you cut files that you find on your computer on it.i know it uses cricut design room, but i don't want to have to buy any of the cricut licsenced designs unless I can pick only the ones I like, i want to get away from having using cartridges because for the most part I am not happy with all the, what i would call, "kiddy designs", and there's not to many carts that appeal to me any more., thanks, any help on this would be appreciated!
I have it. and you can use your files of your own. You can also but just one image off a cartridge. I like it, but I am still learning as I go.
thank you for replying to my post, it was, helpful, I may decide to get it in the near future!
I have had them all, The very first cricut, cricut expression, 5th anniversary and I tried the Cameo and it sucked. Ended up selling it for more than what I paid to a gal that wanted it for parts to fix hers.
The Explore is by far the BEST!!! I love it. I never have a cut that is not complete.it is very smooth and quiet. I too am still learning and need to watch some videos on how to use your own files.

I have the explore and love it!! I would recommend getting the regular explore, not the explore one. Simply because you can write and cut at the same time without having to change out the blade holder.
