Help with photos and letters from early 1900s please
Need advice please.  I am scanning old letters from 1900s to share with family members and really old turn of century photos.  I want to make a Digital book like shutterfly of some of these pieces. The letters seem to break into pieces if I scan as jpg, but they show up better.  I am scanning as PDFs just because it is working, but some are so faded I don't know if they will show up well enough in a book. Have any of you done this?  It might be best just to take them to my excellent copy shop, make hard copies and slide in page protectors like my book of originals.  Your thoughts?  Experiences?  Thanks so much.

I have no experience with that process, but I just want to say how wonderful I think it is that you have those amazing items from more than 100 years ago.  Sadly, my family has nothing prior to 1930.
OCD is not an adjective.  It is not a personality quirk. It is not synonymous with being organized.  It is a complex and debilitating mental health illness that affects people of all ages and walks of life, and is defined by the presence of unwanted, intrusive thoughts and repetitive actions. 💙 I am an OCD warrior and I fight for my son. 💙

After scanning as the .pdf can you convert it to a jpeg?  Do you have a program that's capable?  That's my recommendation - that's what I do....
