As a "NEW" washi user, I was wondering Which company do you like to purchase Washi from? Or does it matter to you? If so why?

Doesn't really matter but I do find Queen & Co or Doodlebug to have the best colors and patterns

Thanks Charleneanne, That is good to know. I have been somewhat overwhelmed with all that is out there. Out party supply Carries the Queen and CO. I could go look at the actual colors there.Charleneanne wrote:Doesn't really matter but I do find Queen & Co or Doodlebug to have the best colors and patterns

the only washi I don't really like is Bella Blvd because the adhesive is very weak and I usually end up attaching it with something else. I bought the 2 I have from them a while ago so I don't know if it's better now. (they were like this when I purchased them).
I have one from K & Co./Smash & hate it - doesn't tear easily & the adhesive wears off quickly if you reposition it. It could just be a bad roll but maybe not.
Besides Doodlebug and Q&C, I also like Little B and Love My Tape. Little B has the tape on a dispenser that has a cutter on it. For me I don't use the cutter, but it is nice for those who want it. I also got some from Bo Bunny that I like very well too. Just stay away from "off" brands. Those are cheaply made and don't stick well at all. Otherwise I just buy what catches my eye
Mildred - Mom to 2 girls and a husband (I tell people that I am a single mom of 3. Ages 59, 37 and 31) lol. And a proud Grandma to Orahn (7) Sawyer (5) and Mazie (3).
Thank You everyone. Now I know what to look for and stay away from.

Queen & Co, Love My Tapes, and Little B fan over here. I also like Sandylion. I too don't go for brand first, its the color and/or pattern that does it for me.
Brandy
The reason I was asking about brand I have seen some hat re similar here in what they look like for example similar but are flags and trying to figure out which one. Also I see some are less expensive then others.

The less expensive often have less yardage.

I've bought from a variety of manufacturers, but I tend to buy the most from My Mind's Eye. I've had problems with Bazzill and Glitz not being very sticky. Also received a roll of Queen & Co. that was all stuck together and I wasn't able to use it.
I just buy what catches my eye. I am pretty picky and don't have much compared to others here. Only 42 rolls.
I have found any roll will tear trying to unroll if they are left in sun (Window Sill) or you hold the roll tightly. I now stick my fingers in the middle of the roll and unload that way.
I miss Prima tapes. I seem to like Queen & Co and MME the best. Doodlebug...not at all.

Glitz Design, Bella Blvd, and K&Co/Smash, and Martha Stewart are not like real washi tapes -- they are paper tapes, like the tapes from Heidi Swapp and 7gyspies that were popular around 2006-2008 or so. These brands are not translucent like real washi tape is, they are thicker, have a shiny finish, and in my experience, do not stick AT ALL.
I've happily used washi tape from all of the other major scrapbooking brands with great success.
