I'm with you Darlene...it just doesn't light my fire. I've made some card with it, but I just am not that impressed.CherryTat wrote:I only have maybe 5 rolls and have rarely used it. Just not my thing

I've used it a few times but it never looks right on my pages. I tend to use it for more behind the scenes things like taping down stuff on the back of the page, as a mask for stamps, etc.
Don't feel bad!! i only have about 9 rolls-- oh maybe 10 now i had to get some for a cardinals baseball layout for a friend! LOL I like how repositionable it is too!

I tried to resist as well but it didn't work out for me. Good luck to you though! lol

Yep and then 200+ and you are dubbed "The Queen of Washi". True story
LOL...if there is a washi support group...Mildred would be the leader...LOL
A friend on another group asked how much we had. I think I am up near 100 now. I have the Costco WRMK washi tape holder and it came with 30~

well I am over the Washi tape. The roll I bought I used yesterday to make some cards. Not impressed with it at all. It peeled when pulling it off the roll, does not stick well at all. I can do the same thing with a thin strip of paper and my glue pen. Now I can say, been there, done that!

I just joined the Washi craze recently too. I have several rolls and probably won't buy a ton more. I do like it but it would be better if the rolls didn't ave as much on them and were a little cheaper. I don't need that much tape of the exact same thing.

Me thinks that the roll you got may have been "aged". In that the glue was not as strong as it would have been if it were new?

it can be a fun addition to a layout or card!!!!!!!!!! I have about 12 rolls and I have to remember to try and use it.....just not used to it yet
well it was with all the new items at Archiver's. So maybe it was defective. However, I saw on another site I go to that it isn't the best when it comes to sticking down especially on textured cardstock.letumom wrote:Indy Scrapper wrote:well I am over the Washi tape. Bummer but that makes sense. That is why I never buy glitter cardstock...nothing sticks to it.
That happens a lot when I use washi. I end up using a glue dot or my zig glue pen thing.
The only problem I have had with the Washi Tape, is that it mulitplies so darn fast

I think my problem is our humidity. It will stick well at first, then later I'll look at the layout, and the washi will have rolled up. But I just add a little Zig glue or a staple. I think it just adds to my embellishing, though.

For me I've found that some washi sticks better than others. The Queen & Co sticks nicely and doesn't tear or come apart. Some other tapes (namely the Smash tape) doesn't stick as well and ripped in half leaving some behind on the roll. I don't have a ton of it but I do have almost 20 rolls. I like to buy stuff that is versatile and get used on several different pages.
