Have tried, but it never works. I am terrible- I spend every penny I have, and then some!!

OMG. When I saw what I was spending a month on ACOT - not to mention the "cardstock at Michael's because it's on sale, and OH, I need those stickers while I'm here" - I almost dropped dead. So I decided I had to cut back - it was a must. But did I set a number? No. I figure in my mind it was "whatever I needed that came in. So there went that idea for a budget.
I have a budget of ZERO for about the first couple months of the year - only because I get my annual cc statement and I can see what I spent the previous year and it puts me a little over the edge!!!
Actually no - no real budget, but if I'm saving for a vacation or something, my scrappy supplies take second place.

I don't really put a budget in stone or anything, but its always on my mind. I shop during sales and clearance, and if I don't have a need for it, I won't buy it "just because its half off". I don't put scrappy goodies on a cc when I'm broke. And when I do have money, I make sure I pay all the bills first.

I have not in the past but after September I am going to put myself on a budget.
I don't have a scrapping budget, but I mostly only buy from here and I get some kits. No local scrap stores and I only buy adhesive and blades at a craft type store. I do try to plan my purchases from here with a 'good' amount of points and a sale of some sort, usually 20% off. Those g/c's always help too. I also try to purchase a big order to save on shipping instead of several small orders.
No - but I should! I can't even imagine the amount of money I've spent - here, in local stores and through kit clubs. I've cut back and I only have 2 kit clubs from one place. I also try very hard to not buy it unless I NEED it. Of course, how can one resist the new washi tape, paper, bling...
No budget, but I try to shop smart. Sale, clearance, points, discounts for things that WILL get used. I've been really good about not buying because it's "an awesome deal". I stick with what I have and try not to outgrow by craft space. So after one more small order here on ACOT, I'll be holding off for awhile.
I don't budget but I'm sure my husband would like it if I did!
I probably will have to reduce spending since the holidays will soon be upon us...

I don't have a set budget, but I do watch what I spend. Some months I am able to slurge a little more than others, but when it is a tight month, I order nothing for myself. I always use a promo code or coupon. I try to wait until the sales too, and I use my points. But I am trying to save them now until BF so we will see how that goes.
Mildred - Mom to 2 girls and a husband (I tell people that I am a single mom of 3. Ages 59, 37 and 31) lol. And a proud Grandma to Orahn (7) Sawyer (5) and Mazie (3).
I usually spend about $50 a month on scrappy supplies ... sometimes more, sometimes less. The closest scrapbook store for me is an hour away and, because I live in Canada, shipping from online shops can get really pricey. If I lived in the US and could get such cheap shipping from ACOT I would probably be spending a lot more!
I do force myself to have a "no spend month" every now and then where I try and focus on using up my current supplies. Hubby likes those months best!

Yeah I budget but then that doesn't seem to work. So I have no budget and just buy what I want.
I ave to cut back though. There's no where to put the stuff!

Lol ladies! I've spent too much lately on scrapbook stuff, i feel that if i plan my spending better i'll get more things i will USE (at least use quicker). I'm the budgeter/in charge of the finances in my family and i try to be responisible without being too crazy about it. Since we had our daughter 9mos ago we haven't been saving much $ at all and it's time to get things back in balance (though certainly we won't be saving like we used to).
yep, a budget. DH and I get the same amount of fun money each month and have for years. I spend most of mine on crafty things. We can save it up/rollover for bigger items. I sold my Cricut carts after my Cricut died and with a bit of "allowance" I got a Cameo this summer and I am in LOVE!
No budget here, but I have been spending less since we're saving up for another ivf cycle
I do have a set budget, and for the most part stick right to it. I do though, when I have extra money, go over my set amount. Not always, but it is nice to splurge now and then! Also, if money is really strapped, I can go with nothing, but I sure hate that, lol!

Not a set budget per se and I usually am pretty controlled on my shopping either from here or a craft store unless I am onto something new I just have to have all of. This summer it has been cricut carts and washi tape. I have purchased 7 cricut carts this summer (I didn't realize how many until I looked at my 2 credit card bills while doing the monthly stuff this week) and I had only 2 little rolls of washi tape beginning of summer and now I have 14 and 3 more in the order I am putting together if I decide I can afford to spend. lol
I was that way with TH distress ink for a while until I had every color they made. lol Then I moved on.

Oh wow another ivf cycle? Hugs and prayers go out to you. Do not spend money on scrapbooking. There is nothing you need. Once you are pregnant then start spending. First pay for the treatments!!!
