I too usually buy 2 sheets because I tend to do 2-page layouts. And if its one that I know is either (a) hard to find; or (b) very very versatile - I will buy 4. And with the doggie pattern papers..since most places have a hard time keeping it in stock, I tend to buy between 6-10.

Ditto on the versatile (or favorites!). Stipes and dots are probably the most versatile for me so far, and anything pink of course (mom of a baby girl lol)blbabe1234 wrote:I too usually buy 2 sheets because I tend to do 2-page layouts. I usually always by two, I am a double page person for the most part. If I like both sides then sometimes I will be 4 pieces. Usually the only time I buy one sheet is if it is a very busy pattern and I know that I will only want to use a small amount of it on a page.
I'd like to chime in with the other ladies- post some LO's! No-one is judgemental here, i've found everyone is so supportive! The challenges are awesome- they inspire you to do new things and to really use your stash! It also is an incentive that the RANDOMLY PICKED winner wins $5 for more scrappy supplies!
Always, always and always! Even with the Bazzill!

It totally depends on the paper. If it is something 'girly' I will buy 4 since I am making 3 niece albums and have a dd. If it is double sided, then 1- 4 depending on how much I could use it. If I just love the line, no particular pages in mind and I'm getting several pp's from that line then I will usually just buy 1 each. I try to do mostly two pagers - not double pages as I don't overrun the page's spine edge- and I want the page colors to flow.

oh gosh... paper is so complicated. I almost always buy two sheets. Well, let me explain: If I buy a collection kit, then I buy second sheets of anything I LOVE and every sheet of the cut-aparts. If I get a collection in that I adore - MME Find Your Wings, DL Lucky Charm, and a couple of others... then I immediately go back and buy another round of the papers. Some papers - that Lucky Charm Navy Floral for example - I have gone back over and over to buy more because I became obsessed and use it on so many layouts. Also, anything that is a subtle, neutral pattern that makes a great background. But then, I have several albums going at one time - grandkids, family, annual, etc.; and, I hardly ever, even if working a complete album (like vacation albums), work chronologically. This puts some continuity of papers and styles throughout my albums, lets me work on whatever feels good today, and makes it interesting for me to go back and work on 'fill-in' layouts.

I usually will buy 2 if i think i can use it..especially if it's double sided. However i found a paper two weeks ago on clearance for 10 cents a sheet..and bought 10 of them even though i only liked the one side. I think i have now developed a paper problem....
You know how I told you I don't buy 2 sheets of the same paper...once many years ago when Rhonna Farrer was designing for Autumn Leaves I bought 5 sheets of the same paper Hehehehe.

Rarely I buy two sheets of the same paper.....probably 98% of the time single sheets.
I tried out for my first design team because of the double page sketches. I needed to be forced into making myself comfortable with double pages. I am most comfortable with single page single photo. Thus rarely do I buy same sheet unless I want one of each side.
It was the kit club that sent me a sheet of Elle's Studio Day to Day Treasured Moments paper that I promptly purchased two more to complete a double page but each done with single page sketch. I wanted the third because I like the back......but nope.....I want to use the front again! I have done it again with a paper from OA Travel Girl for a double page spread with two 8x10 photos. LOL my kit club has caused me to spend more here!!!

I will buy 2 if I like both sides. I will also buy 2 if I think I will make a double page. And I will buy 2 if I've bought some of their embellishments to go with that collection. Because I need to be sure I have enough paper for all the embellishments.

I am like Barb-- if it is something I really like I will buy 2 and if it is printed on both sides if I like both alot sometimes 4.pawprints wrote:I always buy two sheets, as I usually do double spreads for my albums. If there is a double sided paper and I like both sides I will sometimes buy four, unless I can see me not using whole sheets but can get away with using some of both sides. Then I'll just stick with two. Now if it is a paper I am in love with then I'll usually buy more than two sheets, because I just have to have more of it lol! Plus I figure I may need it again, especially since I have three doggie albums and two grandchildren to scrap.
Lately I have bought paper packs because I have found them CHEAP and they were from maunufacturers I really like and I haven't placed an order at ACOT for awhile and scrap stores is where I would usually get paper by the piece.

I don't usually buy 2 sheets of the same paper, but I have occasionally. I just try to make do if I really like both sides.
For some reason I ALWAYS buy 2 sheets of the same. That way I can use both sides. I won't run out of pp anytime soon. I bet if I didn't buy anything new for a year I would still have paper. LOL!!!
all the time! I am a two page scrapper so I buy two of the subtle patterns for background and then often two of others b/c I scrap two boys.
I used to buy 2 or more of papers I liked but not so much anymore. There may be some overlap from my purchases and a kit I just started subscribing to but it's not intentional.
Every time I tell myself I don't need two sheets (when I like both sides) - I live to regret it. So no more two sheets to make double page spreads, but yes to doing it because I need both sides.
I recently bought 25 sheets of a new Christmas paper. OK - don't die - it's for cards. LOL
