That is excactly how I felt when I did a Scrapbook for a friend's (I did get paid) daughter for a pagent! She gave me about three huge boxes with pagent books, church functions, professional pics, dance pics and programs, and all kinds of awards! I had two weeks as well, but I wound up going to her house because I couldn't remeber everything she told me that went together! I felt overwhelmed! I don't mind doing a single or double Lo ocasionally, but probably never a whole scrapbook again!

you are a saint, I don't think I could do it.
Well you have taken on a whale of a project. All I can say is good luck because you will need it. She should have selected some favorite photos and let you scrap those, not just dump a load of unorganized photos in your lap and expect you to throw a scrapbook together on such short notice.
I've been hired to scrap for someone before and it was sooooooo hard! I think especially when you have new goodies and ideas of your own that you're wanting to get done. I hear ya!
Good luck!!

That would be a hard one for me to do to, I'm a random scrapper I'll grab a pic from three years ago or one I took that day depending what I'm working on. Your a good friend to be making this and I'm sure she's thrilled to have the finished project.
Good luck getting it done.
Good luck getting it done.
YIKES!!! And I was feeling sorry for myself because I have to do some graduation boards for a friend.
Good luck - that is quite a project; I"m sure she will love the finished product!
wow you are a really good friend. I think it is awesome that you are doing this for her. I truly hope she appreciates it and understands all that goes into it. And when you give it to her, maybe make a joke about wanting a few more weeks before the due date on the next album
LMAO!! that is probably the reason why "i" only scrapbook for me!Laura Fiore wrote:She has told me for the past four years that she wanted me to do an album for each of her boys (yeah, she has one more to go) and that I should totally be scrapbooking for a living...and I don't have the heart to tell her how much I don't like scrapping for others. Unless it's a gift I'm making for them...and I get to do it my way, and spend what I want on each page (and not worry about using up all my good stuff on someone else's album ), and journal my thoughts and feelings so that the titles come easy. I really want to say NEVER AGAIN...except she has that other kid, LOL
girl, this is an insane undertaking... lots of luck and vent away

that really stinks Laura....maybe doing some of your niece will get your mojo back in order.
I just do not scrap for others and have tried to make that perfectly clear to everyone....

I've done a few scrapbooks for others, but all family & all gifts, so I enjoyed it. I have a bazillion supplies, embellies, reams of paper, rubons, buttons, flowers, punches, Cricut- etc.- could never use it all, yet I do find myself not wanting to use the "best" stuff on other people's pages, pretty selfish for me, since they were family members....
I would not mind doing a book for someone, BUT, it would be so very helpful to have some organization in what they send you. Perhaps they really have NO clue how time consuming this "passion" can be. Best of luck to you!!!!
