The other day, I was trying to use some of my new Creative Imaginations Fourth of July paper and got so frustrated because I LOVED both sides of the paper and only bought two sheets of each. After listening to me moan and whine for about 15 minutes, my sis suggested that I scrap both sides of the paper and plan it out so it all fits together in my album. I thought this was such a fantastic idea! I am now working on those layouts and hope to have them done in the next day or so but I thought I would pass this info along to the rest of you!
Then today as I was posting my latest mini album, it also donned on me that if the paper had not been double sided, I would have had much fewer options!
The moral of the story.... I shouldn't complain
or maybe I should just buy more paper....
Here's my new mini album if you want to take a look.

I know! When I first started scrapping, I didn't get the reasoning for double sided- I thought it was a waste! But now if paper doesn't come double sided, I don't feel I'm getting my money's worth! lol!
That album is great, Becky! Love it!

I thought the double sided paper was off to at first; but I love it now!

Such a great album! You did a really nice job!
If I love both sides of double sided paper, I treat it as two different papers and buy double the amount. Yeah... like I need any more paper!
btw... that is a fantastic idea about scrapping both sides of the paper and planning it so that it goes into the album showing both sides. Your sis should be designated an honorary cherry!

You should all go into Becky's gallery and see this album. You can see all the individual pages and the great job she did.
Great job on the album! I love it!
As for the double paper...I just buy more of it! haha!

I love it, too. I have also made two LOs with one piece and just slid them down in the page protector.
I always buy several sheets of the same double sided paper. Both sides are usually so cute. I sometimes like it when I don't like one side! Cute album!

I, too, was frustrated with double-sided paper at first. Then, I did exactly what your sis suggested...planned it out to use both sides showing.
Another thing I like to do is cut 2 sheets of paper in half, and flip one half so that I have a 2-tone/2-pattern page. I use ribbon and my double-sided tape to cover the seam and I do it on the back, also, so I can use both sides. Or, you can cut the paper in thirds and put a strip of the other paper through the center. That's what I did with these 2 layouts:
Becky, your mini album is just terrific! TFS!
