I did this LO, posted below and It didn't occur to me to explain what exactly happened to my dress. I bought the dress and it fit perfectly (almost) I took my dress in to get a bustle put in and to have like a half inch dart put on the sides of my chest. Almost on top of my breasts. It just kind of stood away from my body and it showed in pictures. Well, my wedding was in Vegas and I didn't try the dress on before hand because there wasn't supposed to be anything done to it and it was already packed for travel. About an hour before the wedding I went to put the dress on and it didn't fit. That's because they took almost 2inchs off of EACH side of my dress. What a nightmare right? I insisted on no pictures of the back of the dress by the pro photographer. She really pushed me to take at least one so I could take it back to show the seamstress. So messing around this is how I posed. It's still really hard to think about and I didn't let it ruin my wedding, but I cry if I let myself think about it too much and watch these damn wedding shows on TV LOL. So with that, what I wanted to fix I ended up having show up in my pictures because the dress wasn't closed :(http://www.acherryontop.com/gallery_vie ... ,52,,69542
Wow, what a nightmare that must have been!! Glad you didn't let it ruin the day.
I can't imagine how hurt and upset it must have made you. The day you want to look perfect and something like that happens! Why can't people just do what you ask them too?
I totally understand how upset you must have been about your dress...that would be like me trying to put my dress on now, right? Glad you didn't let it ruin your day!
Laura, to say the least! LOL I actually went back to the place where it was done and they fixed it back to the "orignial" state so I could wear it again later. I went in to try it on and it didn't fit. They had a fit, I said well hello it's been 3 months since the first fitting and my wedding is over do you really think I care about what I am eating here? LOL
Wow, I hope you've been able to get some compensation from them. That really stinks. But good for you for not letting it ruin your day and for scrapping that awesome picture!
I got them to give me my money back for the alterations and they cleaned it at nor charge and put it back to "normal" I am sure I could of gotten a lot more out of them, but I am just not that way. I mean money really wouldn't have made a difference the day was gone yano? Thanks everyone!
