I'm a 100% paper scrapper. I've NEVER done any digital scrapbooking...I don't even have a clue where to begin or how it's even done!! With all the gorgeous LO's I've seen in the Digital Gallery, I've built up the nerve to try it...where do I start? What do I need? I'm clueless!!!

First you need a photo editing program. I suggest Photoshop Elements, you can go to the Adobe website for a free trail. This I would download some free kits and give it a try. Since everything is trial you won't have to spend money until you are sure.

I use Paint Shop Pro and just love it. I've been using it for about 6 years now.

Yay! Another convert!Cris I'd start over at Kim Hill's Tutorial site. She has a topic "Creating your first Layout" Here's a link to all her tutorials:
www.digiscrappingtutorials.com/She also features a few of the different digi scrapping programs so no matter what you use, you'll find helpful info. You can download trial versions of Photoshop products here:
www.adobe.com/downloads/
Freebies galore await you at most all digi scrap stores, including our own ACOT!!And ask questions. All our digi gals are always willing to help!

I've not done a totally digi LO, either, although I have goofed around with Photoshop and have done some "hybrid" scrapping by adding cool borders and things around my photos, text to photos, etc. That might be a good place to start if you've never done anything

I don't want to get into digi. I wouldn't know where to begin either. I am perfectly content with my mountain of paper and embellishments. I LOVE texture and dimension.....I don't see that or feel it with digi. I am a hands on girl. How would you crop with a group of friends doing digi? I go to crops every month and I just don't think it'd be the same.

I've never done a digi one either. If I switched, I'm sure we would be able to use our dining room table.

Me too. I tried to play around with photoshop, but it was difficult to understand.

It is possible to get texture and dimension in digi. It all depends on what supplies you have at hand. Here's a couple that my paste eater friends couldn't believe were digi!

I'm also on the fence with learning digi thing. I think it would be great as I travel & would only need to take my laptop,but... I'm just comfortable with my paper stuff,

I do paper, but I know I would enjoy digi too. I have PSE, but have never really learned how to use it even though I enjoy playing around on the computer. Don't know what my excuse is . . . Maybe because I like the hands-on feel.
