(as prepared by Keling)As stuff is so hard to get in Bermuda, I've created this template to create your own embellishments! To complete this challenge, I'd like you to first follow the steps and create your own embellishments, and then use those embellishments on a layout! Can't wait to see what you come up with!****Edited to Add***It looks like the pictures are labelled incorrectly. Read through and use the correct measurements. See the examples at the end. The challenge is to make the embellishments but all do not have to go on your layout. Template instructions:CARDSTOCK
1. Starting with your cardstock, measure and cut off a 3” by 12” strip off of your 12”x12” sheet of card stock. Trim that 3”x12” strip down by 1” (discard), so it is now 11”x3” and set aside in your pile.
2. Your remaining sheet will measure 9”x12”. Cut the sheet in half, so that you have two pieces, each measuring 9”x6”. Set one aside in your pile.
3. With the second sheet of 9”x6”, cut it into two pieces, each measuring 4.5”x6”. Set one aside.
4. Trim the first of the 4.5”x6” sheets down by 1.5” (discard), so that you have square, measuring 4.5”x4.5”. Set the square aside into your pile.
5. Take the second of the 4.5x6” sheets and cut into two, so that you have two 4.5”x3” pieces. Set one aside into the pile.
6. Take the second piece of 4.5”x3” paper and trim 1.5” (discard) off the end so it now measures a 3”x3” square. Set aside into your pile.
PATTERNED PAPER
1. Take your sheet of 12”x12” patterned paper. Trim off a strip that measures 2.5”x12”. Trim that again, so that it now measures 2.5”x10.5”. Set it aside into a second pile.
2. Your remaining sheet will now measure 12”x9.5”. Trim that sheet into two pieces. The smaller piece should measure 9.5”x5.5”. The larger piece should measure 9.5”x6.5”.
3. Take the smaller of the two pieces (9.5”x5.5”) and trim off a strip of 1.5” (discard), so that the piece remaining is 5.5”x8”. Then cut that piece in half, so that each measures 5.5”x4”. Set both pieces aside in your pile of patterned paper trims.
4. Take your piece of 9.5”x6.5” paper and cut into two pieces, the larger of which will be 6.5”x5.5” and the smaller will be 6.5”x4”. Set the larger piece aside in your pile.
5. Take the final piece and cut into two pieces, leaving you with a 4”x4” square, and a 2.5”x4” rectangle. Set the square aside into your pile.
6. Trim the 2.5”x4” rectangle by half-an-inch (discard), so that it is now 3.5”x2.5”. Set aside.
ASSEMBLY
1. Border/Title – Take your 10.5”x2.5” piece of patterned paper and adhere it to the centre of the 11”x3” piece of cardstock.
2. Journal Box – Take your 4”x4” sheet of patterned paper and adhere it to the centre of your 4.5”x4.5” piece of cardstock.

Wow...that is a different challenge. SHould be fun...if I cut everything right **laughing**
lol....pm me if there are issue. I am posting it for Sara, and didn't have a chance to make sure I posted it in the right order!
Okay - read thru these and if you go with the pictures - they don't match the words. The first should be the PP and the second the cardstock....Jenna
I pm'd Pam to see if we have to make a layout or just make the embellishments. She is going to check with Keling and let us know....after bingo

Cool beans! I haven't done this in forever and I kind of miss doing it!! This will be fun!!

Off to work...I am just doing a layout, as I believe that is what the challenge calls for, even though the directions show how to do a card too.
I keep getting more confused...So we are just making the embellishments according to the directions and template shown?Or are we making the embellishments and then using them on a layout?
Karen- I just saw this on the original post....so I think make a layout with those embellies......."To complete this challenge, I'd like you to first follow the steps and create your own embellishments, and then use those embellishments on a layout!"
The directions say to use them in a LO. I used all but 1 peice of patterned and one cardstock. I hope you don't have to use everything.
