Art Teacher's NSD Hint #3

Post by Art_Teacher »

Edited to add that some of you are forgetting this is a hint to one of my challenges.  Don't take it so literally (for those of you who weren't kids in the late 70's and early 80's. ;) )  Key phrase:  "IF you were a kid, back then, what would you most likely be doing" on a Saturday morning.  lol But, I love reading where you all were in your lives!

It's Saturday morning (1978).  If you were a kid, back then, what would you most likely be doing?  I know some of us were kids back then, and some of us had kids back then. LOL  I also know some of us weren't even born, so you might have to do some research.  😉

I would have been 13 then so most probably sleeping in or helping my Dad in the yard, he liked to wake us up early for that!

A Saturday in 1978 I was a mom to an almost 8 year old and a 4 and a half year old - both girls. So I was probably making breakfast and breaking up fights.

Maybe go back a couple of years to when you were 10 or 11...it's a shame what teens missed by sleeping in. lol

I was 10.  Watching cartoons waiting for Mom and Dad to get up so we could have breakfast.

I would be 5-6 years old and likely eating cereal on a floral couch while watching Looney Tunes on a wood console tv with no remote 😁

Saturday morning when I was 10 or 11 (early 60s) was definitely cartoons with younger siblings: Road Runner, The Jetsons, Popeye, Yogi Bear, Shari Lewis, Bozo the Clown, Quick-draw McGraw, and Bugs Bunny, to name a few.

In 1978, cartoons that were still popular included Yogi Bear and Popeye.

OMG!  Last weekend on Catchy Comedy TV they did 48 hours of CLASSIC Looney Tunes!  I had sooooooo much fun last weekend!  "Duck Dodgers in the 24 1/2th Century", "Rabbit of Seville", "Feed the Kitty", "Duck Season/Rabbit Season".  It was great!

Being a NICU nurse in 1978, I could have possibly been working a 12 hour shift, or just crashing into bed after working a 12 hour night shift!

If I was a kid, watching Sat. Morning cartoons in B/W. Bugs Bunny was about it!

That’s 3 years before I was born, but I did spend some of my childhood saturday mornings watching cartoons or reading comics.

I would have been 11 and no doubt watching the morning cartoons or out in our fields picking blackberries! (It was always a contest between us and the neighbors to get out there first to get the biggest ones)!

I think I misread this. Am I supposed to image being a kid in 1978 and not a mom in 1978? Gosh I am OLD!
