For me, I was thinking summer,
Here's my card for this challenge:
I was so happy to use this telephone die again! I've had it for ages and have only used it once. So happy that fit the year I was born. 1967

So I used the orange color for the background paper with a splash of green and the butterflies represent the kids running around in the ad, the black words are inspiration from the black words from the ad..

This is great! Love the colors and that phone die! Thanks for participating!
OCD is not an adjective. It is not a personality quirk. It is not synonymous with being organized. It is a complex and debilitating mental health illness that affects people of all ages and walks of life, and is defined by the presence of unwanted, intrusive thoughts and repetitive actions. I am an OCD warrior and I fight for my son.
What a really cool layout! I love all your colors and patterns! Thanks for taking part!Scrapqueen141 wrote: ↑Fri May 03, 2024 7:03 pmI was born in 1978

Woooo... this stumped me, thought about it and nothing. Then poof just came to me. I was born in 1965 so this was my ad:
My inspirations were the grid paper, big circles and little stenciled circlesfor both ends of the phone, and pastel colors in a row like the phones. This was so much fun once it came to me.
Thanks for this awesome challenge

For inspiration I used an oval (the jar I decorated), pop of orange on photo and white letter title.

I'm a 60's baby - so I used a grid background and tried to replicate the phone receivers by blending ink in similar colors - the inked columns don't really do much for the layout - but hey another story documented.
I am 70's baby so I went with color those avocado, oranges and Dark reds and browns were all the rage back then.
I had the 1970s Burger King ad and used the colors - primary colors and black & white - as my inspiration. I also used Stacy's Early Bird tag on here

I had the 1980s Malibu liquor ad. I was inspired by the red and green striped beach chair as well as the fact it is a drink and. My favorite drink is coffee.

1950's Kool-Aid Ad: Inspired by colors of yellow, orange, green, see-through pitcher (used Vellum PP for background and sheer ribbon on tag), added oval die cut behind turkey, with word stickers, quote and date at bottom. Turkey dinner was carryout from local BBQ restaurant including all the fixins' and dessert!
