This is so sweet. The peach color really works well with your tabby. Of course, hubby is cute, too!

Would squares/rectangles count as angular and geometric?

I love a blended raspberry with sugar so here’s my girly card! I opted for the “dark and light” theme and used a variety of shades of pink.

That die cut coverplate is quite lovely for your bird focal point. Thanks for playing in the challenge.

I chose blended, peach, with sugar rim. So, I used Pets & People, peach colors, and soft, feminine accents of lace, flowers, and pearls.

Here is my layout.  Thanks for the fun challenge!

I had chosen a blended Mango Margarita with Sugar on the Rim.

For my card I chose the following:

Blend: Near and Far (I used pop dots to bring some of my elements closer)
My flavor: Mango (I used the closest colors I could find to Mango)
My Rim: Sugar (I used flowers and rik rak on my card for the feminine touch)

is this a digital layout? Usually, I can't tell the difference but something about the string of pearls tells me this is digi. Thanks for playing in the challenge.

Re: NSD-Sonja's Margarita Reveal Challenge - Part 2
I hope you all had a fantastic Cinco De Mayo! Thanks for the fun challenge, Sonja! Thanks also to American Crafts for sponsoring this.

I had a lot of fun with this challenge, and I did find it to be a challenging one. I had to put on my "thinking cap" to figure out what to include in this layout, and I looked through about a zillion photos before I found a set of pics that struck me as being perfect for this challenge. Here's what I came up with:

Image
I created this layout to enter in the "NSD Sonja's Margarita Challenge"  here at A Cherry on Top. The challenge was to choose your favorite margarita, and each aspect of the margarita came with a different assignment.

I chose a blended strawberry margarita with sugar on the rim, so my assignment was to create a pink or red project with a “blended” theme and soft, feminine elements.

The blended theme I chose was “work and play”.
I tried to include both pink AND red in the project to make sure all my bases are covered. J The pink is obvious and the red not so much -- but the red is Altenew’s “Ruby Red” ink, which I used to stamp two of the sentiments.

For my “soft and feminine” elements, I have a “soft”, feminine pink ball of yarn placed on the layout, plus I used Fiskars mini scalloped edges to fussy cut scalloped lacy edges around my stamped elements. I also have flowers (which are on the lace trim in my photo) and a heart on the “hand crafted” stamped image.

About the “Work and Play” blend in this “margarita” challenge entry: Crochet has been my top favorite hobby since childhood, and writing about crochet also later became my job when I was hired to manage the crochet subdomain for The Spruce Crafts website. So, at the time these photos were taken, crochet was both my work and my play. The lower photo shows my crochet hook plus one of the crochet projects I had in progress at the time these photos were taken.

Here’s more of the story behind this layout:

My husband, Mike, and I spent the first part of summer of 2012 preparing to sail across the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea. Before embarking on that voyage, we had been cruising around the Pacific Coast aboard an historic vintage sailboat called Typhoon. Typhoon was the wrong boat for making a serious ocean crossing, so we bought a different boat – Viva – that was docked in Colonial Beach, Virginia. We had to drive cross country, from Oxnard, California to Colonial Beach, to reach Viva and prepare her for the journey.

This page documents the last leg of our road trip before arriving in Colonial Beach. We stayed at the Econolodge in Fredericksburg, Virginia.
I was really excited because I had a bunch of projects that I wanted to photograph – and the motel where we stayed offered a stationery, restful spot to take pics (in contrast to the rocking sailboat where I lived – not an easy environment for taking project photos). I stayed up most of the night that night taking photos and working on my projects while poor Mike tried to get a decent night’s sleep.

The lower photo shows a ribbon I was embellishing with crochet. I later stitched that trim to a pillow and donated the pillow to the Friends of Pine Ridge Reservation.

Thanks so much for taking a look at my project. I appreciate your interest!
