Time for the reveal!!! First, if you wanted to play along with my “In the Year” challenge, you were asked to select a year in advance, anytime after 1939.
You can find the year you chose here:
viewtopic.php?f=358&t=272573&p=5124802#p5124802
And what are we going to do with those years we selected????
Your challenge will be to use a movie poster from any movie released that year for inspiration for your layout!
I selected the year 1992 and I googled "top movies 1992" and came up with this:
https://www.imdb.com/list/ls000042252/
and I selected:
I chose it because my DD played softball for years. I was inspired by the way they showed the stars as "baseball cards" and remembered that when my kids played little league the picture package included pretend baseball cards featuring the kid and their "stats". So I dug into my photos and found these pics (coincidentally taken in 1992) and created this layout:
So for your layout, google the top movies for the year you selected and choose a movie poster that speaks to you. You can use ANY element of the movie poster as inspiration: title, image, colors or anything else that inspires you. Your layout can be about anything you choose, but you must tell me exactly what your inspiration was!
Please submit a picture of the movie poster you used as inspiration along with your layout.
Your only limit is your imagination!

I chose 1986 because that's the year we got married and May is our anniversary month.
Once I saw the movie poster for "Peggy Sue Got Married" I knew that was the one. It's one of my favorite movies.

I picked 1990 which is when DH and I were dating and got married. And look what I found! Pretty Woman's poster has a fun design and plus it's the NSD theme song for ACOT right??? It was fate... LOLOL!
What a GREAT challenge Karyn Sue and I LOVE your example! LOL I MUST HAVE saw that movie a million times that summer is was on cable- either HBO or Showtime LOL back in the day, when everyone had cable!
This was a fun challenge. My year was 1963. This is a simple layout and I love it.

THis was a challenge, but it works.
I chose 1954.
I picked the movie Gojira.
I was inspired by the circle with the silhouette of Gojira.
And used it for a kicking TKD child.
