My year was 1988 (the year I married my awesome DH) and I chose this movie:
Here is mine. I just realized that I didn't crop the photo. lol Oh well.
Have a Wonderful Day! ~Misty
my inspiration is this movie poster from 1968 which also is the year these photos were taken and the year i was born!
Peter Pan was the poster I picked. 1953, the year I was born.
I was inspired by the dark night sky behind Peter with stars, the wish upon a star words reminds me of the Neverland picture, the water is teal and so I used that for my background, and the title on the poster is red and I layered my title with red to make it pop like the poster!
I really liked this challenge! Thank you for hosting!

I chose 1976 and Burnt Offerings with Bette Davis, just because I liked the look of the movie poster. It had a film reel look, which is what inspired me.

I love this! The colors work so perfectly for these pictures and that black background really makes them pop! So cute how he is checking her out just like the stars in the poster!

I chose 1954.
I picked the movie Gojira.
I was inspired by the circle with the silhouette of Gojira.
And used it for a kicking TKD child.
Wow - this poster is the perfect inspiration for this martial arts kicking photo! The colors are so bold and crisp and the sprinkled enamel dots add just enough of a balance for the black. Love the fussy cut kicker!

What a perfect choice for theses amazing photos of your dad! And I think it's perfect that the photos were taken the same year as the movie - that's the same coincidence I had with my photo that I used in my example. It's like Karma!

What a great choice! I love how you were inspired by so many elements of the poster and that they all come together to make such a great cohesive double page layout!

Wow - I love that you were inspired by the poster to make the awesome movie reel of your son thru the years. AND the movie/cinema theme itself is perfect for the entire way you present your layout - not just the film reel but also the title and message you convey. Absolutely beautiful.

This was fun. I picked 1980 (the year I was married) and looking at all those movies sure did bring back memories. So many good movies. I picked the Jazz Singer. I love that movie and love Neil Diamond's music and still watch that movie from time to time. I picked it for that reason and because it had the big gold/orange title on the black background which is what I used to inspire my page. I cut my title from a 6x6 zoo adventure paper pack in orange and used a black background. [plus they both have a Z]. Thanks for the challenge and the memories.

Ok! I picked a movie poster - hope I don’t run out of time to get this one done too!
1989 - I picked the Roadhouse poster - plan to use the layout of the poster as a “sketch” for a LO!

I love that you were inspired by the title of this movie to make a "road trip" layout of your own!

I'm so glad that this challenge brought back so many happy memories for you! Great choice to use the bold black and orange of the poster to inspire your title colors. Looks awesome!

I chose 1953, the year my parents were born, and the movie poster for Roman Holiday:
Here’s the layout I came up with:
My inspiration was the uneven edges (I tore my papers), the layers shapes of back ground paper, and multiple photos.

I chose the year 2018- the year my son was born. I scraplifted the movie poster, used the title, and wanted to keep the simplistic design to really give the photo the impact it deserves. I really enjoyed this challenge, thank you for hosting it!
