This is a card I made to go on a 2pg layout about pine cones.  A few years back we have a a wonderfully huge amount of pine cones .  The card is 6x3 3/4.  IT includes a stitched P, embossing paste for dimensional pinecones and stenciled painted pine needles.  The pine cone paper is glitter paper this was just a scrap I had left over from another project.

A Card with stamped shaker.  The shaker is actually a pin to wear!  It has a tea cup and says tea time.

Re: Louise's Mixed Media Card/Journal/Planner challenge
Now this is a challenge...I do not have much experience with using mixed media in my backgrounds, but I have looked at a lot of examples in the Gallery and watched some videos so I am up to giving this challenge a try!

So I made my first attempt using Tim Holtz's Ditress Oxide spray in shabby shutters and tumbled glass. I then attempted to use embossing powder to make flowers and stems. It did not show up against the ink spray so I used watercolor pencils to outline the shapes and fill it in. I then stamped the sentiment with ink directly to the background. Not totally pleased with the way it turned out, but it was a learning experience that I am willing to play with in the future.

I used  sparx watercolor powders to create the background and texture paste on stencils for the flowers on this notecard.  I die cut and dabbed the leaves with ink pad.

I created a journal page for my "Reasons" journal using inks, stencils, glass bead gel and die cuts.

Here is my Card. I stenciled Vicki Boutin iridescent glaze on the side, used Erika Rose’s “hand in the bag” package technique on watercolor for the background.

I used watercolor paint for the splotches background and splatters. I then stamped a text stamp in distress ink over top. Image

I've got acrylic paint (those pink frames) stamping ink and Nuvo drops on this page...oh, and one little flower. The tile card is a flip-up, and my journaling and pictures are underneath. Just an ode to my kitchen appliances!

I watercolored the background, stamped my image on the background and then added stenciling.

Here is my digital card. :)  I used digital "paints," "gesso," and "inked" edges.  Added photos, so you can see I did print it out for my Mom!
