3:00 PM Fast Scrap

Spring is here, and that means Spring-fever is hitting!  I’m a substitute teacher, and all the kids are counting down the days until May 18—our last day of school!  They’ll be singing that old song “No more homework, no more books, no more ____________...” lol.
Well, I’ve always loved books, and I love bookmarks, so that’s what our Fast Scrap is going to be—making a corner book mark!  It’s versatile to readers as well as scrappers—you can use it as a photo corner on a future layout!

Here's a little tutorial I found on the internet!

Materials - paper, scissors and glue.
Step 1: Paper and Cutting

 

• cut the paper in a 12 cm x 12 cm square. (I used 4 1/2 x 4 1/2 inches) Then divide it into 4 parts as shown.
• cut out the part shaded with pencil.

 Step 2: Folding and Gluing


 

• fold according to the pictures. apply glue and fold the other part too.

Step 3: You're Done! Add at least 2 items to embellish it (you might want to keep them flat if you’re using this as an actual bookmark).  Suggestions include stamping, glitter glue, stickers, washi tape, etc.  Beautify your bookmark and you're done!


Here's my example--I used stamping:  the word "love" with a heart!, and washi tape.

 

**Fast Scrap rules:
Add at least 2 items to embellish it (you might want to keep them flat if you’re using this as an actual bookmark).  Suggestions include stamping, glitter glue, stickers, washi tape, etc.
This Fast Scrap must be completed within an hour—4:00 P.M. EST
Cannot be recycled - must be new/original work
Cannot be entered into multiple challenges/fast scraps

Can I do it digi..using your directions as a template?  I will print it out and fold it up and take a photo!

Yes, whatever works!  As long as it's a bookmark!

This was so much fun. I'm going to wait for my glue to dry fully before using it.

Hey everyone...BETTER LATE THAN NEVER! Do we need to use your pattern to make the corner book Mark? Or as long as it covers the corner can we submit out on take on it?
