This is my first year doing this. Ive been doing challenges off and on all day. I have really enjoyed it and hope to be back next year and perhaps more prepared.
Haha! Yeah, I had to tell DH two weeks in advance, talking about NSD daily. So by Wednesday, he's like "So on Saturday....you're playing. I'm making you waffles. I'm making you dinner. I work on my Honey DO LIst". Yeppers! You gotta dude!emmapaige wrote:I guess my only tradition is to give my DH plenty of advance notice so he knows it is my day and not to expect us to go anywhere or for me to make any meals. Speaking of meals - I think it's almost time to find the take out menu and have him call in and pick up my dinner!! LOL!!!

I always plan to get a lot of scrapping done--but end up spending most of the time on the computer! Every.year. LOL

Considering I am an old traditional woman who has been coming to crops here for a l-o-o-n-g time, nope I have no traditions for the NSD crop. Dull huh? lol

But you make it to each and every one! I say that's a Tradition in itself!Charleneanne wrote:Considering I am an old traditional woman who has been coming to crops here for a l-o-o-n-g time, nope I have no traditions for the NSD crop. Dull huh? lol

Making a crazy number of LO's on NSD is my tradition. I like to start first thing in the morning and go until I run out of creativity. I've been doing the challenges all day. I've done the one at 2 Peas for the last 10 years or so, so this is my 1st year at ACOT. My hubby knows the drill, we went out to Panera for breakfast early this morning and he knows not to expect me to cook or come up from my scraproom for the rest of the day. He did drop by a while ago to bring me a bag of chocolate covered raisins...I was happy for that kind of visit.

NSD is usually around my wedding anniversary and our church yardsale, so I'm sometimes either out on a vacation with the hubby, or garage sale managing at the church and not participating... my first couple of NSD's I spent with my friend's group Scrapbook Sorority in Elk Grove, CA. We did crop hops to various shops in the area, and had a great dinner somewhere and ended up at my friends LSS till the wee hours scrapping. Monique has since sold her store which closed in 07 and the Sorority has been disbanded.... some scrap some don't.... I miss my girls though.

I think my tradition is that I am always more productive on NSD than on any other day! I vow to take the day to get as many projects done as I can and I usually get a few done--last year I did 7 which is a lot for me. This year it's looking to be less but still more than the average day. Also, I tell my family that they will be on their own for dinner--and we will be having leftovers!
Mine has been to take the Friday before off from work to plan/ play ....
Recently got a part time job and couldn't take off today.... First one o haven't been here the whole day (well 2012-2015)

Celticrose is right, either one of the computers is not working or the internet is not working.

Sadly, this has been the first time in a long time that I've been able to be an active participate. The stars all aligned for me today!
