Married for 5 years, only furbabies here: 1 cat and 1 dog. Both rescued. I live in Puerto Rico, a little island in the Caribbean. I am a Systems Engineer for a Telecom company and a Kidney Cancer survivor (7 years in September, woooohooo!!), and an Endometriosis Warrior. I love to play games on Facebook, scrap, wine and travel. I am deeply and hoplessly in love with my husband and he knows it! I have recently discovered blogging and I spend a lot of my time doing that, mostly posting pictures of my latests diy. I have 1 niece (9 going on 30) and 1 nephew (4), and I am the oldest of a 6. My youngest sibling is 16 years old! Yep, I am 27 years his senior! I am opinionated, upbeat, always with a smile on my face, a little goofy and a little moody... I love life and I am greatful to the Universe for letting me have one!

I currently work for the Department of Revenue and am so glad April 15th has come and gone.  I am single now and have one dd who has blessed me with three beautiful grandkids (Samantha will be 16, Drew is 14 and Lizzy is 10).   In fact, my dd is the one that got me started.  Her friend was a CTMH consultant and we started out making cards.  Then when grandbaby #1 came she got me into scrapbooking.  Love this hobby.  I just wish I had more time to scrap.  Most of my vacations are with them and they are the main subject of my scrapbooking.  Love Disney World and I don't think I will ever get it all scrapped.  I live in a westside suburb of Indianapolis and am only about 20 minutes from Joannie to the west and Lesmitch (Leslie) to the east.  Love it when we all get together and scrap.  I drive a 2009 KIA Sportage and love the fact that I got it paid off last summer.  Love not having that car payment. 
 

well I do have friends in Atlanta, IN and if DH and I get to travel back there to visit in the next year or so, I will abandon him for an afternoon and come scrap with you 3 ladies.

I've been married just over a year to a wonderful man. Together we have 4 adult children, two West Highland Terriers and 4 backyard hens. I drive a Mini Cooper S. I like to travel, garden, read, hike and spend time scrapping with paper & digitally. I live in Vancouver (USA, not Canada), Washington (the state, not DC), but am from the midwest. Vancouver is minutes from Portland Oregon. I worked in higher education for 25 years and am now retired. 

 

Best wishes on the new marriage.  You do not live too far from my sister.  They are down in Dallas, OR which is about 15 miles west of Salem.  I think on I-5 Portland is about 1/2 hour from Salem.  Are your chickens laying hens?  My neighbor has 18 and when one lays an egg, they all cackle like crazy like they are cheering her on.

Portland is about an hour north from Salem.....I am about 25 mins south of Salem ..takes me an hour and a half to get to Portland...arrrg

Ok, you asked!

I have been married almost 31 years in Dec. I live in central Montana.  But was born and raised in London, Ontario.  I have Two grown daughters.  The oldest lives here and has blessed us with 3 grandchildren, Who I scrap regularly about.  My baby lives in Seattle, so I get to visit there frequently.  I have been a nurse for 40 years and work part time in our local NICU.  No pets right now.  And I drive a Honda Pilot. Have been scrap booking since 2000.  It was my New Years resolution to get my photos all archived.  Stilll working on that one!  Love to travel!
 

My Godchild lives in Kalispell, MT.  I love Kalispell and visited often when he was growing up.  But his mom/dad are divorced now and my friend is back in California.  sigh.  I love the little town of W. Yellowstone, MT right outside of the park too.  Love scrapping the grandbabies.

I have been married to my guy for almost 26 years. (July 1). We have 2 sons, 24 and 22. Currently they are both living at home (grrrrr.....love my kids but can't wait until it's just the two of us again) Oldest son is a traveling poker dealer so he is only here in between tournaments. Youngest son has aspergers and is just now getting to the point of being ready to be on his own. He has tried a couple times but hasn't been successful. Let's hope 3rd time is a charm! I also have 1 furbaby, Lucy. She is a spoiled pug/jack russell mix who recently went blind suddenly and she isn't adjusting well to it at all.

I currently am an assistant in a self contained behavior classroom for high schoolers. I have been trying to get in to a different position for a couple years but the district has been unwilling to transfer me. I am really good at my job, I just don't like the stress and chaos that comes with it. I am hopeful that I will be in a different school next year. 

Hubby and I enjoy traveling. We live in Oregon, close to the coast. We love crabbing, goodwill shopping and wine tasting. I recently started exercising to lose weight and love it! I don't get to scrap as often as I would like because #1 son has taken over that room. (again..grrrrr) I drive a honda civic. 

 

hey Tanya, One of my brothers lives in Toledo, OR which is right by Newport.  Another in Hillsboro, OR and sister in Dallas, OR but she used to live in Sheridan.  Whenever I visit my sister, we always go to the coast for the day and have seafood at, hmmmm I think the place is called Mo's.  Man is it good.

well sounds like you do not sit around and feel sorry for yourself.  If I was as active as you, I would be so tired.

Well, I don't do everything, every day. A lot of it happens  while I'm on "couch island" where I spend an inordinate amount of time propped up on pillows. The other 50% of the time (well, 49%) I'm in bed, propped up on pillows. I've done a lot of adapting various activities so they can be done on Couch Island. I have a vast collection of lap boards and other stuff that help make scrapbooking and stuff possible in the least painful position I can sit in. It's not fun being in pain all the time and knowing I will be in pain for the rest of my life, but on the other hand, I'm very lucky to live in a city with great medical resources, to be able to have decent insurance, to have the animals I adore who keep me getting up every day because I know they rely on me to take care of them, and I'm most lucky of all to have Scott and my friends who do so much to help me, who keep me laughing, who don't cut me more too much slack or too little, and who actually enjoy spending time with me when they could be doing something exciting out somewhere neat, instead.

Born and raised Floridian.  I've been married since 97 to my Navy sweetheart (we met on my first tour of duty), we are the proud parents of  Tybalt the Prince of Cats, we own a Toyota FJ Cruiser and a Harley Road King Classic Anniversary edition (I'm a passenger of both as I can no longer drive), I am a happy home maker after 12 years of Navy, getting my degree, then working as a database manager and IT specialist. We reside in a sleepy little burg just west of the Sierra Foothills of CA. Aside from paper crafting I'm a gamer geek (D&D and online RPG), I collect Pez dispensers, I'm a die hard Star Wars nut (since I saw the first movie in 1978 when I was six years old). I'm also a huge Sherlock fan and anything with Benedict Cumberbatch in it. Some little tidbits of my life... I used to figure skate competitively and I'm good friends with the voice of the Gieco camel. 



 

What degree are you working on?  Undergrad or grad?  And I love the way you describe Rancho Cordova.  Having lived in this area all my long life,  I never would think of it as a little burg just west of the Sierra Foothills.  Sounds almost quaint and picturesque.  lol


Done with degree, I was listing as an accomplishment along with my years of service in the Navy as well as my job in IT and Dbase admin. I used to work for EDS before they got absorbed by Hewlett Packard. I live on the American River side of Coloma in a wooded nook with a view of the park. How long have you lived in Rancho Charlene? My husband is a Cordova Grad, 75.

I've been married for 13 years. We have two kids, Grayson (8) and Ellery (3). We have two fur babies, Tink the chihuahua and Ginger the Australian Shepherd/Lab. We live in Oklahoma. (Boomer Sooner!) but I'm originally from Georgia. (Go Dawgs! Sic 'em!)

i own my own business and work from home as an Author's Assistant.. DH is a stay-at-home dad, which means I can actually get some work done during the day. 

Until this week, I hadn't touched my scalp book supplies since I was pregnant with DD. I'm very excited that I'm at a point where I have time to scrap finally. And just in time for NSD!

I'm Shelly, I live in mid-Missouri with my husband of 19 years.  We have 2 daughters (15 & 12). We have one cat, Sam. I am a digital media teacher and FBLA adviser.  Exciting things going on right now is that I only have 2 more Fridays after today before school is out!  Yeah!!

My hobbies include photography, quilting, painting, and redoing furniture. Ok, so the last one is a future one.  I have furniture piling up in the basement from garage sales to work on.  My hubby is starting to get annoyed so this summer, the basement will be a project.  My two daughters love to dance.  So this spring I have been following them to dance competitions.  Between work and dance there isn't much free time left. Hence the reason I'm looking forward to summer break.

Well let's see, I met my trophy husband at , yes, band camp, in 1980. He tortured me at camp in 1981. I really liked tj is guy named Andy and he did everything possible to "help" Andy with his Judy problem. In 1982, we were a couple.BUT this was still in a time of no cell phones or text or internet, and he lived in new Mexico and I lived in new York. I had a hard time with the distance and we broke up, and he didn't come back to camp the next summer. Fast forward 29 years, and I found an alumni website for our camp, several months later, I got an email from him. Well we both had just gotten divorced. We became a bicoastal couple and finally got married August 20, 2011. That's when I moved across the country to new Mexico with my daughters! So, I am driving my Honda Odyssey, referred to affectionately as my midlife crisis car, I have 2 daughters, sammy who will be 17 this august and will be a senior in high school, and Ally who just turned 9 and will go in to 4th grade. Then there are my two step daughters, amy who will be 17 and starting senior year in high school and kyra who is 20 and will be starting back to college. We have 2 fur babies, demi who is a miniature schnauzer and her son Mozart, or Mo, who is half miniature schnauzer and half Portuguese water dog. We adopted the two together from El past animal rescue about a year and a half ago. I was a teacher of pre kindergarten and left in Dec after a LONG time of teaching to do things I enjoy, so being creative, doing art journaling, crafts, of course scrapbooking, I will never catch up, and I am trying to learn jewelry making and quilting! Oh and I am a total nsd junkie!

What a fun thread  

I was born in Pamona CA at Queen of the Valley Hospital. Dad's job was closing so he found a new one in MN (this is where he was born and raised). So he moved us all to MN when I was 10. Met my husband when I was 14. He was my first BF and my first kiss. He moved a year and a half later to WI. We tried to write to each other, but his parents intercepted our letters. So we both thought we had stopped writting to each other........so we did. Fast forward 8 years, and we reconnected. I did at this time already have DD#1 who was only 4 months old. Her father left me when I was pregnant (thank goodness for my understanding parents). We officially got together the day before DD#1 turned 1 years old. We dated for 4 years and then got married on June 15, 1991. We had DD#2 the following May. This June we will be married for 24 years. So we have 2 girls, 1 son in law and 1 intended son in law. We also have Tucker our 3 year old Shorkie, Midnight our 18 year old black kitty. We also have Zazue (I have no idea how old he is), our Cockateil. We have Glen and Penelope who are Bearded Dragons. Glen will be 2 this year and Penelope with be 3. We also have 2 fish tanks with LOTS of fish. We just bought a house in September 2014 and we are loving it. I drive my little white Pontiac Grand Am to work. I am employeed at Travelers Insurance Company where I work in Operations in the Bond and Specialty Insurance department. I have been here for 18 years now. Besides scrappy, I also like to crochet, repurpose pallet wood and work in the yard. I have already started working in my backyard and can't wait til all my ideas are put into place. It is going to be beautiful.

I'm 32 and I live in south central Pennsylvania in a little farm town called Mount Holly Springs. Today is actually the 3 year anniversary my husband's and my first date. Our 1 year wedding anniversary is coming up in June. I have an 11 year old step daughter and she will be getting a sibling sometime in 2016 (fingers crossed). We have 3 senior dogs (coonhound Sadie - 13, boston terrier Oscar - 11, chihuahua Lily - 10) and an irritating cat (Luke the Girl - 3). I drive an Acura MDX. By day I am a Database Analyst and EDI Specialist for a warehousing and distribution company. Other than scrapbooking, my hobbies include cooking, gardening, reading, singing, video games, and cosplay (dressing up as characters from movies and video games and going to conventions). I'm also a part time student pursuing 2 associates degrees (Database Analyst and Business Intelligence Application Development).

Hello everyone!  I'm Julie, wife to a farmer and mother of three children, ages 6, 4, and 18 months!  We live in South Dakota.  I work part time as a physician assistant.  I drive a Chrysler Town and County mini van!!!  Yea!!!  I never thought I would drive one of those!  I love to scrapbook and I'm also a Stampin up demonstrator and enjoy making cards and other paper crafts but I really enjoy scrapbooking the most.  I also enjoy shopping for scrapbooking product!!!!    When I'm not scrapping or stamping I enjoy reading and doing things with the family.

I have been married for almost 15 years.  My husband and I met in college.  We have two kids, an 8 year old boy and a 2 year old girl.  I have an MBA and use to work in the professional world but I got laid off approx 6 years ago and have stayed home with the kids and working harder than I EVER did in my life, lol!!!  Oh yeah it is also 24/7 with hardly any breaks and no time off, hahhaha!!  I love being outside, reading, and running.  Just joined a kickball team with some parents from school, this should be interesting and fun, the kids can come and sit at our games now!  I use to work at Ford Credit so of course we have 2 Fords, a car and and suv, definitely need that with the kids and their friends!  We don't have any pets, we just enjoy the ones in the neighborhood and at Aunt Kim's house!

Married 19 years in June and we have two kids, an almost 8 year old boy and a 12 year old girl, plus a fluffy fur baby wire haired dachshund. I work as aa senior analyst for a government agency here in Washington State. We live in Tacoma, close enough to the city to do fun stuff, close enough to the beach to boat, and far away enough from everyone else to actually have a yard. I am a passionate scrapper and have been scrapping for over 20 years after being introduced to it in college. My newest passion is getting my family in shape!

Hi, I'm Kim. Been hosting two monthly message board challenges here for a while. I'm 41 years old, married, with 3 kids 13 year old dd, 9 year old ds, and 4 year old dd. Dh has 2 grown children and 2 grandchildren. We have 2 cats that I say are barn cats, but they like to hang around on our back deck and get spoiled by the kiddoes.

My favorite color is purple, though I don't scrap much with that color. I love scrapbooking and card making. I also try lots of other crafts-some sewing and painting. I like baking and have tried my hand at cake decorating. Right now, I'm into making cake pops! And, I'd like to learn to crochet. I like drinking coffee and eating Mexican or Italian food.

We live out in the country on 18 acres in southern oklahoma. I don't mow, and DH seldom does, lol. The kids love having lots of room to roam around, riding their bikes on a long drive way, and riding a "mini bike" on a track DH did actually mow out in the pasture.

My DH is self employed, and I'm his secretary (of sorts, lol). I'm a SAHM, choosing to quit my job as a high school English teacher when my oldest was born. I drive a white SU that stays dirty on the outside due to the fact that we live on dirt roads. It's diety on the inside due to driving the 3 kids around all the time, lol. Some of my friend don't allow food or drink in the car, and I'm like, "we can't starve while we are on the go!" We go a couple weeks, then EVERYBODY pulls together and scrubs it down. I try not to sweat the small stuff-life's too short to get stressed out over details!

Ok, this surely is a lot of my life story, but I'm bored waiting for DD#1 to get called to the back for braces spacers ... grr, the appt. was at 11, and it's 11:37.....

ok...ok...here goes!

I am a 54 year old Transplant Texan married to a fifth generation Texan.  Larry and I celebrate 28 years in August.  We are self-employed!  May seem pretty typical stereotype to some of you outside of Texas to describe my family.  We own three businesses: an oilfield supply transportation company, a 2000 acre cattle ranch and a restaurant where we supply the beef when we have it.  LOL....like I said we are the stereotype!  And one can see I love being a rancher more then anything in the world.  At about the age of 12 living in suburban Houston all I could think about was living on a farm.  My one lifetime dream is realized!

We have two children.  Lynn is a graduate of Texas A&M and currently manages our ranch.  James is still working on his degree.  He works for us as our IT person and he just took a management position with a Logistics Company at the Port of Freeport.  He continues to work on his degree at University of Houston in Computer Science.

I started scrapping in Sept. 2006, and I haven't looked back.  My very favorite things to scrap is my life at the ranch and the mass amount of family heritage photos dating back to the late 1800's.  Mass amount as in at least 1000 photos.  And I have only touched the surface.

I have to have at least one thing about me that you'll have to search for here at ACOT!  I love love history!!! It's part of my bucket list and it has to do with my deep abiding love of my home state of Texas!  When done I will have traveled over 100,000 miles!  How I wish I could claim I was a Native Texan instead of a transplant.  I tell people I got here as soon as I could!  The soon as I could was the age of nine.  So travel to a state outside of those states that surround Texas I hate to speak....cause I get...."Where are you from!'  At least I don't have an East Texas Accent!  Yes in our state we dearly tease East Texans.  We can tell what part of the state your from by your accent!
