We call it SCRAPbooking for a reason! As our fabulous NSD event comes to a close, if you are like me, your craft room is probably a disaster! You may be thinking "time to clean up". BUT NOT YET! What better way to end the day than with a true SCRAP challenge. Gather up all those scraps left from the day (or from other projects) and USE THEM! I find mosaic-like projects are a fabulous way to take all those little pieces to create treasures. Scraps are also great for layering - you can make them look like larger pieces when tucked under other layers. Use your imagination. But I don't want this to be TOO easy - it is challenge after all. So here are a few twists you must keep in mind:
* At least FOUR different patterned papers
* You may NOT use or cut into a fresh sheet of 12x12 patterned paper (cardstock for the base is the only exception)
* Start with nothing larger than 7x7 (base cardstock excluded)
* Digital, cards, or mixed media are all A-OK
I've included a few inspiration projects I found in the gallery for you, including one I created last night. If you saw what I used to create the layers behind my photo your first thought would be "Frankenstein"!
And for those that were following my hints:
1. It’s all in the name = SCRAPping
2. Your mom said you had to do but I say don’t = clean up
3. Size matters = limit to the size of the original papers to use
4. Safety in numbers = at least FOUR different papers
5. Cut it, punch it, shred it, tear it = whatever you need to do with your scraps to MAKE IT WORK
Challenge prizes: One $10 Gift Certificate per 7 participants. For example, if I get 21 participants, then I’ll have THREE winners. Woo Hoo! Cherries to all participants.
BONUS: If you use scraps from one of your NSD fast scrap or challenge projects, I'll award you BONUS cherries! Just show me the original challenge project along with your new project
General Challenge rules:
* Cannot be a previously created project and cannot be previously displayed/published ANYWHERE
* Cannot be entered into multiple challenges (ie: entering same layout in sketch challenge AND another challenge/fast scrap)
* Entries must be posted to the corresponding Gallery to be considered to win - but please feel free to also post directly to the Message Board thread as well.
* Must be posted to the appropriate gallery by MIDNIGHT MAY 10 (EST)
* Limit one entry per Challenge per person

And these are some favorites I found in the gallery
and my original inspiration:
I did three challenges today, 4 pages total, and only used one piece of patterned paper and it was already a scrap!!

That's awesome! Using scraps from today's challenges is not a requirement - just worth bonus points. Feel free to dig into other scraps (we all have them).

Ohhh...those clues were really tough! Love the challenge and will pull out the scraps that I saved for another project from the layout challenge I completed. Thanks!

I made a card. My scraps were pretty small but worked well together for a card I gave to Bibi to thank her for scrapping with me today.

Great challenge. If I have anything, it's scraps! Love the way your clues fit this challenge.
here's my page - I used 10 different paper scraps and one full page for my b/g
Here's my entry for this challenge. I used 4 different papers and repurposed the tag I had done in Fast Scrap #1.
