What is this thing with mineral paper, gelli plates and splash paints? And second, can someone enlighten me on what I am hearing about art journaling? I have been hearing about these topics but am not really sure where these fit. Are they for cards, scrapbooks, mixed media? May I buy a vowel please?

OK, I must be out of the loop.  I don't know what those things are either???

I have heard of the art journal but not the others. Art journal is when you draw and color and get all artsy. I believe it is for your thoughts hence the journal part. But I could be wrong. Cocoa daisy has an art journal add on. If you got to there sight you can look in the gallery. I think they have a blog special also. Where one of their designers is doing an art journal.I have not been there in a while. 

I've heard of gelli plates before. They are flat plates of rubbery plastic and you spread ink or paint on them and then put paper on top to pick up and transfer the image or colors. You can use the paper for a background.

New stuff to me.

I have heard of art journaling, but not the other stuff.  And I do not know what ANY of it is.  lol 

sounds TOO artsy for me.  I do not need to find any NEW things to buy either..lol

I certainly don't have a clue!  I feel so out of the loop as far as scrapbooking "supplies" and tools and such.  I am not much into the "artsy" type stuff either...I tend to keep it pretty simple and "old school"....guess I am a little boring in that respect.
