robkaynel wrote:I had issues getting my layout to post to the General Scrapbooking Gallery & the challenge....seemed to like General Craft?? My recipe was
Chicken = cardstock only - used for background

blackbeans = punches - used my corner rounder

cheese = chipboard/wood veeneers - used wood alphas from Pink Paislee, misted & SC birds

jalapenos = glitter/stickles - used several different stickles to create a frame

guacamole = flowers - used several different flowers from my stash to create clusters in two corners.

The doileys were not part of my recipe but were the something that worked under my title....so I improvised

nachos = 3-5 photos

This combination of items was way out of my comfort range & not my normal style but came together decently. Thanks for the fun challenge.

Re: NSD Recipe Challenge
I hope I did this right since I added a ribbon to the tag even though ribbon was not on my ingredient list on my recipe. Similarly, paint wasn;t on my list but I used it as a "bling" element (it was metallic paint)

  • Burritos – 1-3 photos: Check (I used 2)
  • no meat - cardstock and 1 specialty paper: Check (I think...) I used a wrinkled cardstock as the base, added mats using copper cardstock, and some touches of sea foam green cardstock; The journaling tag is also from cardstock accented in more of the copper paint. The chevron paper is the "specialty" paper - it is copper foil accented paper from SEI. The small alphas are cardstock alphas from American Crafts
  • black beans – punches: used a braid punch on top of one of the mats
  • pico de gallo – bling: I used copper-backed glass mosaic tiles in corners; also added bling via the copper paint I added to the chipboard bannr and to the tag
  • jalapenos – glitter - this gave me serious issues as I am not a glitter kind of person! Best I could do was a thin band of Stickles below the punched edge
  • Cheese – chipboard or wood veneer : no problem here. Used a wooden tree branch and several wood flowers plus chipboard alphas abd a chipboard banner
  • lettuce - doily: cut one using my Silhouette fron the copper cardstock

I had nachos with beef, black beans, cheese, tomatoes and guacamole. So I had to use cardstock and patterned paper, chipboard/wood veneer, brads, flowers and 3-5photos.

brads are holding up the banner, the top flowers in the corner is wood.

Yay! I finished two challenges - lol - that's a lot for me since I don't get much time to do it and am slow :)

Here's a link to it in the gallery:

When you girls put your pages directly into a message thread, do you host it at Photobucket or something, or is there a way to link it here??

Thanks!
