I used a nestability and ran it through my Cuttlebug. I couldn't do it with all eight layers at a time, had to do it 4 layers.
Don't have (or use) coffee filters, so I used newspaper instead!

I too gave up on the coffee filters. I found some colored tissue and used it. Here's my flowers.
I made a double-sided flower!
I so wanted to do this. I just had such a week that I didn't get a chance to play some more with doing these. I loved the class and had fun playing with making one, and I may not have made any in time to submit to the challenge, but I still intend on making some when things settle down here. Thank you so much Kristin for showing us how to make these.
