I was going to go to Lowe's on Wednesday and decided to stop at Sonic for a Limeade first and then be home in time for Y&R, which gave me about an hour to do it all. The whole thing should have been about an 8 mile ROUND TRIP. HOWEVER.......I decided to hop on the interstate and get off at the next exit, because that's a little bit faster than taking old route 66......I TOTALLY FORGOT about the road construction and could not get off at the next exit.......OR the next exit....OR the next exit...and when I FINALLY got off the interstate, I couldn't get back on to return to where I started, so I had to take the back roads!!!! I ended up with about a 40 mile round trip (yeah, really nice with the price of gas) and I never did get my limeade OR make it back home in time to watch Y&R!!!
It wasn't so recent, but I was driving home from work and a deer jumped off a hill right onto my hood. No kidding. It bounced off the hood and hit my window and then bounded off into the woods. The drivers behind me told me I couldn't have done a thing.
Now - for silly things - I took my cordless phone to Walmart in my pocket. But - I didn't get any important calls, so it was all good.

I was putting on trousers before removing my flip-flops the other morning and caught one in the cuff of my pant. I then toppled backward, with one arm waving and the other grabbing on to my pants, and landed on the bed, still struggling to get the one foot free of the cuff and shaking it back and forth in the air. Fortunately, I landed on the bed; unfortunately, my husband caught the whole thing. At least it wasn't on camera!
I go flying down the back deck steps at least once a year.....so, last week we were cooking on the back deck and I was carrying a tray of food down the steps to a crowd of hungry guys, and yep! lost my footing and went flying down the deck steps.
