Challenge # 15: Scrap your most prized possession
And there is a bit of a twist to this one. In addition to scrapping your most prized possession, you need to journal about why you consider this most prized.

Here is my layout and the journaling follows.

Image

" I inherited several pieces of our family's antiques but the one that means the most to me is my grandpa's smoking chest. I have fond memories of my grandfather. He was a kind man who loved his grandchildren. When I want to rekindle the memories of greeting him at the bus stop when he got off work or gardening with him, I open the door to his chest and take a deep breath...I can still smell his cherry tobacco and he is instantly with me again".

Re: Challenge # 15: Scrap your most prized possession
What a wonderful idea for a layout. Unfortunately, I don't think I have anything left here that was handed down to me, so I'd have to come up wtih something in the house now that is my favorite. Would take tons of thinking, so guess I won'tmake the deadline on this one.

This can be a wedding ring, a childhood toy you still have, a gift from a friend and while you may do it from you as a child's point of view, this would make a great page for a Book of Me ...and if you haven't started one, now would be a great time. It could also be a favorite pair of house slippers....see the possibilities?

Recently I lost my yorkie Cheater. He had been my best friend for 10 years. I was totally devastated. Shelby has helped mend my heart.

I did a LO about our sailboat. We love the water and are so lucky to live in the Puget Sound and the boat lets you get right out on it...

Re: Challenge # 15: Scrap your most prized possession
This one has some hidden journaling and I'll come back and edit when I find it. I did this one a while back...but may just do another.
Image Journaling:

My clogs….I don’t remember the year I got them…it could have been 1966 or 1967; maybe even later. I remember wearing them a lot! They were wooden with blue leather tops. There was an indention inside where your toes gripped to help hold them on and it was said to help strengthen your feet. It took some getting used to, but after a while, I mastered walking in them quite well. I loved those shoes! They looked just so groovy with my

Bell- bottom jeans!

Just looking at them brings a ton of memories flooding back. All the concerts Cheryl & I attended: The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, the Dave Clark Five and so many more. Hippie beads and bell bottoms; wearing flowers in my hair; Love Street Light Circus and the Fever Tree; Vietnam and protest marches.

Here it is 2006 and I still have my blue clogs! I don’t wear them near as much as I used to, but I occasionally put them on and wear them around the house for a little while. Like me, they may be a little scuff- marked and worn, but they still have a lot of wear in them.
