when you are creating projects for yourselves, like, your own personal scrapbooks, do you mostly use your own designs or do you use others as well- and if so, what other designers are your favorites?
It's been horrible today, must be the weather or jason playing call of duty...humph!
Wanted to stop in and say hello!
I would upload an avatar but have never used one that doesn't have a browse option.
that;s great...I agree....there are a lot of papers out there that I admire and sometimes even buy but cannot get them to work for me on a layout! Its great that you are scrappers too! You KNOW what we will like and what WON'T work for us!
Sounds like typical sisters. LOLjosafeen wrote:Sal, if i have trouble keeping up, because my internet is slower, how about you answer the questions, and i'll just heckle you for entertainment, k?
So how honest are you with each other since you are both talented designers; if one of you creates something the other person really doesn't care for, do you share that with each other?
Are your tastes similar? Do you like the same colors-is one of you a bold color lover and the other a pastel passionate person? How do you blend your styles together?

Hi Lori!!!
Yes, we really really try to put them into use during the design process, thinking, ok, how will our crafters use this? How can we make them the most usable, without compromising the eye candy factor? Sometimes we have to switch directions on a paper, or change up the scale combinations in order to make them the most usable. It's a fun challenge to keep that balance. Like you know, this is gorgeous, but is it usable??

I never think about how much work goes into the actual design of the papers. This is so interesting!

I love your designs because they usually have large and small patterns. The small is awesome for layering and backgrounds and the large is awesome for cutting out, distressing and turning into fun dimensional die cuts. In other words, there is something for everyone.

awesome question Jody! we are totally bent toward the same design style, but ofcourse we have our seperate tastes. Josie is more muted and I'm more vivid, but that's a generalization. but it really helps us balance things out.
I remember one time I was soooo furious with her because I was totally in LOVE with a paper I had just made and when I showed her on yahoo messenger she hated it. she didn't say that but I could read between her long pauses and finally she said "it looks like an old man's shirt from the 70's" !!!!!! I wouldn't talk to her for two hours. but I tabled it and later I hated it too!! LOLOL
