Since I am totally immersed in our school musical, which opens this Friday, I am challenging you to use a song from a musical.
There are so many great musicals and even more wonderful songs from them. Use either the lyrics, the title, or both in your layout!
Here is my example:
Cool! That's also very similar to one of the Feb. Challenges - we can use one for both, right? Assuming it's done & posted by midnight tonight....
I asked if the Feb. regular challenges could overlap as well. Did not get a definite answer. One was a "think so" and another was "pretty sure you can't" - because this challenge is exactly like a Feb. challenge that I have been struggling with. But today in church - I got an idea!

I asked this during a past crop and the answer was no...they have to be separate layouts

here is my layout - glad I could get one done for the crop! I liked this challenge because it did not have to be a musical title. I know lots of musical songs - great ones! I have been meaning to do a favorite things layout for eons.
The one main difference between this and the February challenge is that it has to be your favorite musical...this one can be from any musical.

Right, but if we were doing the Feb. one it would certainly fit this too! But I didn't get it done, so for me at least it doesn't matter.Art_Teacher wrote:The one main difference between this and the February challenge is that it has to be your favorite musical...this one can be from any musical.

You know "nothing" of musicals and "nothing" of sports, Leslie. Do you live under a rock? Just kidding, I'm sure I know nothing of many of the things you know. You make it hard for those of us who know NOTHING of musicals!
Laura
Well, I don't know if Quickpages count for Challenges, since most of the work is already done! So it's fine if it doesn't qualify, but here it is - gotta have a sense of humor because this song (from Les Miz.) is about prostitutes, and this is a group of us at our church's women's retreat!
I'll add credits for the page & word art later...

My niece is a huge fan of music from musicals so I let her choose the song, then I created a layout from it. She lent me her ipod and I listened to the song over and over while I was creating the layout. I'm actually now in love with the song, Champagne from In the Heights.
