A Cherry on Top

Getting to know you #5
You're invited to a dinner party: What does the hostess ask you to bring? feel free to leave me a recipe :-D

I'm a burn salad type of gal, so I'm usually the chip and dip girl. But I do get requests for my potato salad. It has dill pickle, onion, egg, olives, celery and bacon along with the mayo and mustard.

For family functions it is usually some unique drink that we look up or a dessert, depending on what we are in the mood for, could be pumpkin bars or peanut butter pie!

Re: Getting to know you #5
i love to cook, ask away ;) or i'd love to make you
homemade cinnamon buns if it's a sleepover!! LOL

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

CINNAMON BUNS

DOUGH:
3/4 cup water, 2 Tb butter, 2 eggs, 1 tsp salt, 2 Tb sugar,
3 cups all purpose flour, 2 packets of yeast

FILLING:
1/2 cup brown sugar, 2 tsp cinnamon and 3 Tb butter

ICING:
4 Tb butter, 2 Tb all purpose white flour, 1/2 cup powdered sugar,
2 Tb fresh squeezed orange juice (or water if you are not into orange icing)

DIRECTIONS:
Form dough and mix together all your filling ingredients by hand until a crumbly mixture forms.
On a floured surface roll out dough into a rectangle, so that the dough is around 1/2 inch thick
or thinner. Evenly spread sugary filling over the dough rectangle. Roll it all up, jelly roll style.
Slice up rolls and place in a greased cooking dish. Allow this to rise for 30 min or until almost
doubled in size. Bake at 350 F for 25-35 min. Bake time varies based on how thick or thin you
cut your rolls. In a small bowl cream together all icing ingredients and pour over
cinnamon rolls once they come out of the oven.
