Hi Em...it might just be you and me...of course they are probably reading through the two pages already here, LOL

I'm always looking for new and interesting ways to make my products work for me. I love traditional uses, and love even more, finding a way to make one sheet of paper or a diecut work for two or more layouts. We'll explore ways of using diecuts with Glimmer Mist or ink products.
Here's the class list of products:
Tracery White Doily
Basic Grey Refresh Paper
Basic Grey Aloe Paper
Bazzill Kraft Paper --I used four sheets for the above layouts
Tattered Angels Lemon Meringue Glimmer Mist
Tattered Angels Lily Pad Glimmer Mist
Martha Stewart Glitter DieCuts
Making Memories Glitter Bling Frame
Bazzill White Cardstock
Making Memories Stamp Love Struck DieCut
Making Memories Flutter Journaling Book
Making Memories Flutter Plastic Flowers

Sounds good Betty Ann...and you may decide you don't need the mist at all. I just love what it adds to my layouts...it's my way of taking a piece of paper that everyone will use, and making it my own!
I also used this stuff:
An assortment of patterned paper scraps
Glimmer Mists or inks to match those scraps
Ribbon
Buttons
Twine
Border Punches or Deco Scissors
Dimensional Adhesive
Journaling shapes or stamps

Step 1: Do Prepwork with Glimmer Mists or Inks. I've copied this section from a thread in the forum.
I started with this doily from Basic Grey
which I LOVE! They have this in brown too and it's as beautiful as the white! But I have to be honest with you, when I purchase a paper that looks like this, I always want to get a little more bang for my buck! You just can't get that after it's already made into a layout, but you can certainly use it to make a creative background for another layout. This is how I go about doing that.

Take the doily, turn it over, so that the back side is up, line it up over a white sheet of paper and mist it with either Lemon Meringue Glimmer Mist.
If you use this one, make sure and keep your misting hand about 18-24" from the papers so you don't get too dark of a coverage.
Or use Gold, which I like better...it's a lot lighter and won't overpower the background sheet you're trying to make. I used a little of both to make the background on the second layout above.
