We are headed up to my brother and SIL's house. So happy they are doing the turkey! I'll be bringing an array of sides as well as DH's homebrewed beer. (He made like 40 or 80 or some ridiculously huge number of gallons this fall!!)

My family and I are all going camping. Each one of us will bring something for the meal at my camp site. I will be cooking two turkeys for 35 people.

We're going to my parents' house and to the IL's. I'm bringing mashed potatoes and dessert to my parents' house and a full belly to the IL's if MIL is cooking. :-D

Cooking it all myself, but it's just for me, dh and dd, so it will be very low stress. I only get stressed out when I have company that I'm cooking for!

Re: Coffee Talk #1
My brother and I usually take turns doing Thanksgiving dinner. This year is actually my year but since I have some financial difficultieshe has volunteered to do it that day with one catch.....he and his wife would like to go out of town to her grandparents by noon that day. So we are having a family brunch Thanksgiving morning at 9 am. That sounded okay to me but now some folks are complaining that we aren't having the traditional turkey dinner. Should I make a turkey and take it over that early in the morning? Everyone is bringing something.

We are going out to eat at a buffet. We have gone there every year since the year before my MIL passed away. She may not be with us, but she started a new tradition for us and for that I am very grateful as I am the only female in that side of the family and I don't like cooking or cleaning.

It was weird eating out the first year, but we all quickly got used to it and really enjoy it now. You'd be surprised how many people eat out on Thanksgiving!
