Hey, Christmas Cherries! When you receive your ornament, please take a moment to post it here to this thread! We'd all love to see what you got!
OCD is not an adjective. It is not a personality quirk. It is not synonymous with being organized. It is a complex and debilitating mental health illness that affects people of all ages and walks of life, and is defined by the presence of unwanted, intrusive thoughts and repetitive actions. I am an OCD warrior and I fight for my son.
I received this some few weeks ago - and posted in the gallery, but completely goofed and forgot to post it here.
I have to tell the long story of why this is the most perfect ornament for me this year!
Back in 2021, during COVID - my neighbor found what she thought was a dead baby possum in her pool. She called my Mom and asked if my dh would mind to dig a hole and bury the box. My Mom assured her that he would, so she brought the box over - only for us to look inside and discover that he wasn't dead at all - he was "playing possum" - probably from the shock of the whole ordeal. I called several wildlife rescues in our area, only to be told that they couldn't help because of staffing shortages due to COVID. We finally found one place that said they might be able to take him in 8-12 weeks if he was still alive.... at 4 oz, it wasn't a guarantee. So we kept Ratatouille for the next 9 weeks. One day, he didn't want to eat, wasn't his normal pink skinned self, and just seemed very lethargic so my dh drove almost 3 hours one way to take him to the "possum rescue" - they had almost 100 possums already, but they welcomed him in.
After Ratatouille left our house, Dad would look at the pictures and weep because he really got attached to the little guy. Most people don't think possums are cute or cuddly - but honestly, they are.
(PSA - I don't recommend everyone having one as a pet, they are wild and ultimately belong in the wild unless there are circumstances that prevent that)
Fast forward to March 2022 - my Dad passed away. I kept telling my Mom that Dad was going to "send me a possum" - and I meant a real one. She (and DH) would just go along with it, knowing that you can't really think a possum is going to show up. Well, March 28, 2023 - my Mom's neighbor came to her and said she had a gift for me - a man that she knew brought in a tiny possum that had been trapped in his basement for several days (once they fall off the Momma's back, she doesn't go back for them) and he wanted to know if she could release him since we live in the middle of nowhere. She told him that she knew someone that would love to have it - and since it was so tiny it would likely die in the wild. So.... I feel like my Dad sent me a possum. We've had Puzzle (named because Dad and I loved to do the crossword puzzles in the paper together) since then and he is doing wonderfully. He's about the size of a domestic house cat. He loves to snuggle, sleep and eat applesauce among other things. Possums don't carry rabies due to their body temperature and he is potty trained to use a pad like a puppy.
So, imagine my surprise when I opened the ornament and there was a precious possum! I am so grateful to Flora for the wonderful ornament that will have a special place on my tree each year!

I received this beautiful ornament from Charlene! I loved the li'l note she included as well. She was in Florida with her DD and told her about the Ornament Exchange. She told her that I was from Texas and her daughter said "Every Texas girl needs a pickup truck!"
And a bonus! She used this adorable doggie Christmas towel along with bubblewrap to protect the ornament. What's not to love!
Thank you Charlene!

The Idaho mint truffles….creamy yummy goodness. Thank you for everything! I absolutely love it all
Bitzel knew something fun was happening!
Love this with the bears and the tree! I’m going to add all of us to it when I’m having a good handwriting day!
These are addicting, we’ve both had a couple already!
Minus Bitzel
Snowflake Ornament Story… Amazing, right!!!
Again, thank you so much! You’ve made my Christmas extra special

Oh Kim!!!! Thank you SOOOOOO MUCH!!! They’re perfect!!!
Oh . . . my . . . gosh . . . I was COMPLETELY spoiled by Brandy!! She absolutely spoke my love language and showered me with pink delights! I got an awesome pink retro car, a pretty pastel gingerbread house, and the most awesome pink sprinkled donut!!!! I love them all so much and they will look fabulous on my tree. But, the donut will stay out all year though! I have a small wreath on my kitchen wall, right above my Kitchen Aid mixer -- which is pink. The center of the wreath has this little hanger where you can change the little icon for the different seasons. I plan on giving my new pink donut a permanent home there. It will match my mixer perfectly!
Thank you so much Pally!

I'm so glad you love the ornaments. I just couldn't resist. That donut really spoke to me outloud! It said "I was to live with Flasher Laura!"
