try this http://www.acherryontop.com/article?a=1433 or...

go to your User Control Panel

click on the Profile tab

click on Edit Avatar

make a note of the maximum dimensions allowed [
Maximum dimensions; width: 100 pixels, height: 192 pixels, file size: 6.00 KiB.]

paste the URL of your image and make sure it is complete, for example: (http://www. -image-location- .jpg)

if you don't know the specific dimensions of your image, clear the Avatar Dimensions boxes and leave them empty.

click submit

You could use an image from outside ACOT but yes, you need to first have your image hosted on the web either here in your gallery or at a photo hosting/sharing site such as Photobucket.

another help article here http://www.acherryontop.com/article?a=1485 the gallery is easy to navigate. go to the gallery and click on the Submit to Gallery link to get started. http://www.acherryontop.com/gallery fill in the necessary information as directed, browse your computer for the image and upload, then at the bottom of the page click submit and you're done.
crop the URL address of your image by right clicking on your image, selecting Properties and copying the web address.

paste that URL web address for the avatar
