Re: Help Me Out
I've tried the caffenine, Excedrin, and even Imitrex. Doesn't work. I've been under a huge amount of stress but of course I can't get rid of that, I wish. ;) I just had my eyes checked less then a year ago and they haven't changed in the past 8 years.

I have had them for years, one thing I was told was cold on the head (ice pack) and hot on the feet (warm bath) and drink something cold laden with caffenie (moutain dew or that jolt drink).

Do you have allergies? The pollens that normally don't hit until fall are already peaking. I've had some killer headaches and had to increase my allergy meds.

This is what I have to do as well. I don't get them very often at all. Have you talked to your doctor? I know that you aren't this old..it would seem, LOL but one never knows when the pre-menopause stuff starts and the change in hormones can really give some people migraines. I would talk to your doctor for sure!

I don't get them often, but I know when they are coming. I use Goody's headache powders. Tastes yucky but it works for me.

Re: Help Me Out
first off, if you read the ingredients of excedrin migraine and regular exedrin...they're the same. and it never did a darn thing for me.

you're going to think i'm totally weird, but here's what does work for me:

4 ibuprofen (800 mg total)

vicks vaporub under my nose

no idea why, but i swear by it!

and i'm terribly sorry to hear you're not feeling well, especially crop weekend! hope you find something that works soon!

Origins make something called Peace of Mind. It's a small tube of a strong pepermint lite lotion that you rub into your temples. Works wonders for my boyfriend.

That which does not kill me only makes me stronger...

If I can't get aleive, I do three advil's and then sleep for about 3 or 4 hours. If I don't sleep, I usually end up vomitting from the nausea that comes with my headaches.

Haven't had one though in a couple of years. As long as I drink coffee in the am, they don't happen.

I have a lot of trouble with headaches. I take Maxalt MLT. It is great. Very pricey though. Talk to your doctor.

Sleeping it off is the only thing that usually helps when I have a terrible migraine.

FYI, Excedrin Migraine and Excedrine Extra Strength are the same thing- same doseage of same ingredients. ES might be a little cheaper if someone uses it.
Take care of you,
Deb
