they come in different sizes so it is quick and super easy to layer them. So for example the scalloped one above has different sizes, so you could alternate colored cardstock, with patterned papers. I don't think I have an example in my gallery of that, but if I find one I will make sure to send it your way. Hope that helps!! and HEY!! long time no see!!MamaDNC wrote:I've got a question for you...WHAT IS A NESTING PUNCH?

I also used the large circle punch from the back to school page to make this quick baseball that I am going to use on Cole's T-ball page.

Sus, what a great layout! I'll have to use that line on my daughter.
Hmmmm.... she's starting high school on Monday. I suppose she'd be totally embarrassed if I brought my camera when I drop her off in the morning (or more like when she drives us to the school). Her friends know what a photo taker I am so it shouldn't be too bad. . . right?????

My punches are small, but I have some large shapes of die cuts. Can I use them in place of the punches?
You can also take your punches and make them into something other than what you think they might be used for. Here I have made a flower from a heart punch. I have also done this with a medium sized circle punch. FUN! Another thing I love doing is putting titles or journaling on the punched shapes. Like in this puppy love layout.

Sure thing hon!!uptowngirl wrote: My punches are small, but I have some large shapes of die cuts. Can I use them in place of the punches?

Thank you...it does help. I 'thought' that's what they were, but I've learned when it comes to scrap booking, some words don't always mean what I THINK they mean!
And a big 'shout out' to you too! I'm back, at least for a while. It's been a very 'challenging' year this year. I've been lurking when I can.

So are we supposed to do a page using punches or what? I'm so confused!
Does anyone make a 3" square punch? And where did you find the threading water one? I can't locate one anywhere. I know Target was supposed to have them but I've never seen them locally.
I'm not late
Everyone else is way too on time.
0/3 for February
Have you ever been in LOVE with a patterned paper but just think it is too busy to use??? well dig out them punches!!
Below, I loved the starburst background paper but cutting it up just did not work, so instead I used it as my main point and cut out coordinating papers. The outcome was I got to use the whole sheet of the pp wihtout it being to busy to distract from the photo.

OK, this is one class I'm going to bookmark. You've got some fantastic ideas, and some of them make me want to smack my head and say, 'Why didn't I think of that????'
You are good!
You are good!

Wow, those big ones aren't kidding around... they're cool!
I wish someone made a 3 inch one, but I guess since people can cut that shape easily or at least easier than a circle or flower, maybe they feel they don't need it. But I have TWO square punches that I love and I would buy one. LOLscrappinchic wrote: Does anyone make a 3" square punch? And where did you find the threading water one? I can't locate one anywhere. I got my Treading water punch at Michaels.
Hope that helps sweetie!

I saw this the other day...I feel in love with it! Might try doing something similar with my 'Tidepools' collection. I love those papers.

Nope...just basically ideas in this class...BUT I am making a place in the gallery, that if you want to during the crop, make something using punches, you will entered in a drawing for that pesky points fairy!ArmyWife95 wrote: So are we supposed to do a page using punches or what? I'm so confused!

Here is another example. I had a GORGEOUS pic, that I did not want the papers to distract from, but the papers were perfect for the photo. In this case, I used the milder paper for the background and used the patterned paper to punch the hearts out from.

lovin all the ideas
