Hello every one!  I am currently stuck in snowy northeast Ohio. Got about a foot of snow over the weekend and more on the way. I don't have any scrappy friends or anyone to talk to about scrapping. This is actually my first post to any message board.  I haven't yet placed an order with ACOT because I have a wish list and basket a mile long and can't decide what to buy first.    I have been scrapping off and on for 6yrs but have recently got very serious about my scrapping since I am currently unemployed for the first time in my life. I try to complete at least 10 layouts a week. I have been trolling ACOT msg boards for a week or so & finally decided to just jump right in.   
I have posted some of my work on other scrapbook sites but have not yet posted to ACOT. Are there any rules about posting my layouts? If I've posted them on other sites can I still submit them here?  I'm new to the whole posting my work so I am not sure what if any rules  there are-I don't want to break any rules. Can you tell I'm a currently unemployed attorney.  Ha ha!!   .

Anyway, hope to chat with y'all soon. (I lived in the south for 8yrs so every once in awhile I might switch to southern speak )

Welcome to ACOT!  Can't wait to see your work.  No posting rules per-se. There used to be one about only uploading four per day which some of us still keep. But if you have oodles of work , consider checking to see if they work with the challenges.  Here at the end of the month the gallery gets flooded as folks are submitting for them.

...posting rules? I know that if you post elsewhere that has a store it's a "faux pas" to mention it here at ACOT!  & Try not to post more than 4 admissions a day/at one time!  I think there's a few more!!! I'm sure others will chime in here today to help ya out!!
Can't wait to see your work! OH, there are challenges every month for gift certificates (gc) that keep us motivated!! If you have any more questions, just post!!!

Welcome, Kate!  I live in central Ohio and we are snowed in right now, too.  I am a teacher and just had our 7th snow day for this year (which we will have to make up over spring break.   Anyway, scrapping is a great way to pass time when you are snowed in!  As for posting rules, like someone mentioned, we try not to "flood" the gallery by posting more than 4 layouts a day, so everyone has a chance for their work to be on the front page.  Also, no direct linking to other scrappy sites is allowed in your gallery posts, and you are not supposed to name those sites in the title of your post, either.  Other than that...post away!  We can't wait to see your work.  Any questions, just ask...this board is full of friendly, helpful people!

Oh, every time you post or submit something to the gallery, you earn a point. Once you reach 1000 points, it is good for $5 off your order. I like to see how long I can save them and then order big. If you have any questions about anything, we are all here to help, and there is also a Live Chat button so you can talk with ACOT. They are also very helpful.

Welcome! I'm in Michigan, and while we aren't getting tons of snow (just a little bit more each day), it is CCCOOOOLLLLLDDDDDD! School cancelled again this morning for severe cold more than snow issues. It's currently -19 on the wind chill where I am, and I like so many others, am ready for spring!

As someone mentioned, check out the challenges...and save those points, because they can get you a great discount on your order. I don't have any local friends who scrap either, so this is my place for inspiration and ideas!

I think most of the rules have been posted .. the only other one I can think of is if you are making a layout using a kit from a kit club, you are not supposed to  put the kit's name in the project title but you can include it as part of the description.
