ACOT Message Board

Hi ya'll! My name is Andrea and I live in Virginia. I have been purchasing scrappy goodness from A Cherry On Top for years but this is my first time on the board.
Confessions:

• I seem to purchase more than I actually sit and scrap but right now I've committed to a monthly project life. I just don't think my life is interesting enough to do it weekly.
  
• I love to make cards more than layouts.
  
• My layout style is simple, linear and clean but that doesn't mean I don't like cute embellishments.
  
• My last project besides Valentine's Day cards was a scrapbook for my sister and one for my brother, documenting the first year of their sons' lives.
  
• I love being an Auntie.
  
• My Mind's Eye is my all-time fave!
  
• My last purchase from ACOT was EP Photo Freedom sleeves, papers and stickers, Jillybean Soup alphas, BG micro mini alphas, and Heidi Swapp gold lame shine.

Welcome! This is definitely my scrappy home. I started scrapping in paper but went digital a couple of years ago. However I still love to play with paper for altered objects and craft projects! Looking forward to seeing your work and getting to know you better.

Welcome to ACOT! Like Ayla (Nancy), I also started as a paper scrapper, and in 2009 started working in the digital realm. I still do both kinds of layouts though.

WELCOME - I don't think any of us attend Red Carpet Events, and have pretty regular lives. That being said - your project life? I was at a seminar that pointed out that our kids' birthday parties, our pets, etc., are what we scrapbook for ourselves. In the future - the things most interesting will be the "general day to day events" - like "Look at the price of gas on that sign" and "check out what they WORE" - when we scrapbook a boring to us subject - it's actually the most valued in later years.

So you valuable scrapbooker - We are very happy to welcome you!!!

Hi Andrea! Glad you "joined" us on the boards! ACOT is a super friendly place with lots of inspiration and creative ladies (and a few gents, I think?) I've been here since the beginning - a long time ago, but just am not very chatty... What part of Virginia do you live in? I'm from Northeast Tennessee (Tri-Cities) so SW Virginia is just a few miles up the road. Can't wait to see what you create with us!

Hello! I am actually in Southwest Virginia, about 30 minutes from the state line!

Thanks for all the warm welcomes! If I can ever get a photo loaded you can put a picture with the name. Hopefully I can upload some of my work too. It has actually been a while since I've taken pictures of anything I've been working on.
