When do messages in my PM Outbox get sent? Since I don't send or receive PMs very often--and some are short thank you's or acknowledgments on which I don't look for replies--I didn't notice until today that 2 from yesterday are still sitting there along with a few older messages. None of them has appeared in Sent Messages.

I just sent a PM to Brandon asking for his help on a site problem, but it too, is still in the Outbox.

They go right away...it's just that they sit in your outbox until the recipient opens them. That way you will know when they receive it. I wonder if Brandon took a few days off to play with his family?

Well, Brandon just answered this one for me! A message moves from the Outbox to the Sent Messages folder after the addressee has opened and actually received it. "Weird", he said, but I like it.
