I am "new" - I found this site once a long time ago and then life got in the way and I didn't have a chance to anything scrapping wise for a very long time - and now I am back, both to here and hopefully scrapping...
My initial departure from scrapping was caused in a large part by an online forum I was heavily involved closing down and I didn't know really what to do with myself to scrap without the challenges and the motivation that the group gave me. Then I had my daughter (5th child) and have been workign just a TON of hours. Being employed by a very small business gives you an odd sense of responsability to the comapany even if you don't own the place... there are only 2 of us, myself and the owner, so I always feel very obligated to the business and to him. Though recently i have made the official decision that I NEED to start doing some things for ME ME ME again. And the big one in there is my scrapbooking. It's always been a release and a source of a sense of accomplishment for me and I really need to get back into it. The difference between now and the last time I tried to get back into the swing of things is that now I have other people behind me in the decision that I need some "me" time - including my boss - so I have a great big chancve to chill once in awhile now.
Other than that I am a working mother of 5, married to a musician - can sometimes be a challenge, LOVE LOVE LOVE too scrap and have been scrapping for 29 years in variuos forms... got around to the acid free version we all do now about 10-12 years ago and I am participating in the race for the most stuff. LOL At this rate I defiately feel that I am a contender. LOL
Hopefully I have not returned too late in the month to be able to participate in the challenges that you have going on around here for February. I could reallly use the inspiriation.
