Has anyone read the 9th book of the Sookie Stackhouse series? Does anyone know if there will be any more in that series?
LOL funny name, I haven't even heard of them! Is it a good series? What's it about?
I'm participating in a Bible study on patience right now. It's the only book I've been reading lately!

Have a blessed day!
I am reading a biography of Elizabeth Taylor...fascinating. 4 husbands before she turned 30. I am up to the filming of Cleopatra!
WAS a TIKI BAR GIRL AND ALWAYS WILL BE
Don't know about that series...I'm reading Chasing Harry Winston right now. just some girly lightness!
I haven't read that series. I'm working my way through the Kings of England as told by Jean Plaidy. I'm up to King Henry III, in "The Battle of the Queens." I'm also starting the Blue Bloods series.
I'm reading The Namesake by Jumpa Lahiri & listening to The Rug Merchant by Meg Mullins.
Both are excellent books that I highly recommend.

After watching True Blood, I'm thinking I should read these... How close is the TV show to the books?

I have read, and own the whole sookie stackhouse series actually. I've enjoyed them. Is the 9th book the one called From Dead to Worse? Cuz that's the last one I read. A new one just came out on the 5th called Dead and Gone, haven't read that one yet, but I will for sure once it comes out on paperback. I have no idea how many books she will write in the series though.
I liekd those books so much I'm actually in the process of reading the Harper Connelly books also by Charlene Harris. I'm into book two of those and have also readlly enjoyed them!

Well the first book is equivalent to the first season of True Blood, and a few things are very close to each other, but they've added characters to the show that aren't in the first book (they don't show up till later in the series and are not as prominent as they are in the show) and from what I can see is happening with Sookie's brother in the series at the end (joining something called the fellowship of the sun) this doesn't happen at all in the book. So it has numerous similarities, but also a few differences as well, prob to make it more interesting for TV.
2nd season starts in June, I'll be checking it out for sure.
I'm reading Bobbie Faye's Family Jewels by Toni McGee Causey, although I guess they're revamping the series and changing the titles.
This series is hilarious!! Bobbie Faye gets herself into such crazy situations!
Not unlike Stephanie Plum in the books by Janet Evanovich, which I also love!

I am rereading the Twilight Saga for like the umpteenth time...oh and I am also reading Acheron by Sherrilyn Kenyon
I'm reading Looking for Peyton Place by Barbara Delinsky.
I absolutely love the Sisterhood Series by Fern Michaels-she is one of my favorite authors! I also love Janet Evanovich among many, many others.
Another favorite series is by Debbie Macomber-where all the stories take place in the same town, but just focus on a few families in each book. Not sure if there is a name for the series; but they are all titled with street names preceded by a number.

I love True Blood- can't wait for June, either.
I am reading, Wicked. And for Mother's Day my husband bought me a book of poetry that I have always wanted, Leaves of Grass by Walt Whitman which I started to read now, too.

Just finished reading AFRAID today - wasn't what I expected. It was like the old Stephen King novels...like It. I'm starting on a Lee Childs book next but my mind isn't remembering the name of it!
I wonder, sometimes, if we ever give God a headache.
