This is one of our most often asked and used things to do on our Message Board. A good majority of the games we play will require you to post an image into the thread.
It's quite easy, follow these steps and you'll be a pro in no time!
Special Note: COPY & PASTE is enabled for all images on the ACOT website. However, I recommend getting into the habit of using the method described below. If you want to use a photo outside of ACOT you will need to upload it to a hosting site first. (ie; Photobucket, flickr, etc). DO NOT copy the address of your photo from another website without permission! This is called HOTLINKING and often produces unwanted results. (Some sites have 'other' graphics that will show when a hotlink is attempted. Sometimes these images are graphic or adult in nature) ACOT images can be hotlinked.
You will need the web address of the image you would like to insert into the thread. You can generally get this by right clicking on the image. For Firefox, you can select COPY IMAGE LOCATION, for IE you will need to go to PROPERTIES and copy the image location from the pop up box.
Once you have that copied, in the thread, click the icon I have highlighted here that says INSERT IMAGE.
In the pop up box, PASTE the image location.
Click OK.
It's that easy!!!
Have fun playing our games and showing off your pictures!

You cannot post a picture without uploading it to the internet somewhere first. You can use Photobucket, Flckr or even our own gallery.
Hope that helps.

Thanks a bunch! Obviously I have issues ! I usually can make it work once or twice during a crop and get frustrated and give up after that. Now to practice enought that I can truly learn and remember how to do it.

I'm following the directions, but when I look at preview - the picture doesn't show - it just says picture or photo or something... Usually I just copy my picture in PhotoBucket and then paste here, but it isn't working today. I've even tried on 2 separate computers... HELP

Photobucket has several link options that have code. Make sure you pick the one that says DIRECT LINK. Your photo address should start with http and end with the file name.

Yes - but if I'm copying a picture from ACOT - it doesn't show up when I paste, or when I try to insert the photo link... sigh
My bad. I thought you were having trouble with Photobucket.
When you right click on the picture do you see an option for COPY IMAGE LOCATION (or if you have IE-PICTURE PROPERTIES)? That is the address you will need to post into the mountain box.
