Karen, welcome! I live in Bay City....a lot closer than some of the ladies on the board! lol I haven't been to Port Huron in years, but since I'm finally getting off my keester and getting an enhanced drivers' license (I used to have a passport but it went invalid when I got married and changed my name) we are hoping to make a trip over to Sarnia soon. Is Mary Maxim's still around in Port Huron? I used to go there when I did more knitting. Does your daughter live in Port Huron too?
Anyway...as others have already said, this is a great place...lots of friendly people and great inspiration!
Welcome!!! I'm your Hoosier neighbor to the south in Indiana!
Thank you all for the wonderful welcome! I love the very creative challenges and am working on a few before the month ends.
Yes, Mary Maxim is still here and doing business as usual. Hobby Lobby is here too and Joanne Fabrics although Joanne's has a little less in the scrapping area.
My DD grew up in Port Huron but since she has been married, she has lived around the southern part of the state near Adrian MI. She's a grandma of three. When her active youngest DS was born and then the three grandbabies, she turned digi on me because it wasn't easy to keep kiddies hands away. NOW we are finally able to play together again! And she is as excited about the creativity behind the cherry challenges as I am!
