I have not been scrapping for about six years now. I would really appreciate some updated news. Can anyone tell me about your favorite new and wonderful tool, template and or any thing just wonderful about scrapbooking! Please PM me so I don't miss any thing! Thanks!
I just purchased the new We are Memories die cutting machine. Am looking forward to playing with it.
I'd say try some of Tim Holtz styles in your layouts. Scrapbooking is so different now and much more exciting.

I've gone digital, so I'm not a lot of help with current paper trends. I'd say just watch the galleries, scraplift what catches your eye, and simply scrap! You will re-develop your own style.
More importantly, welcome to ACOT!

Oh....so where to start!!! I just saw my BoBunny Pre-order is ready for shipment! I literally did a little jig this morning over getting to receive Somewhere In Time by this Friday!
I love love the Pre-Order option!!!!
There are also so many new companies then six years ago and maybe a few you will quickly realize are no more sadly!
So if you read some of the other posts today....the new that I am deeply in love with over the last year and half are"
Veneers
Frames
Flairs (Badges)
Transparencies are back in
Arrows are back in
plastics are coming on....guess that could fall under tansparencies...Studio Calico has a lot of them
BIG BOLD pre-made Titles are in!!! Heidi Swapp and American Crafts and their now subsidiary companies are putting them out. Yes, American Crafts is gobbling up companies!
Mildred will tell you she is and deserves the title of 'Queen of Washi!' Took me awhile to grasp washi tape!
Die-cutting machines are so numerous that you'll have to study all of them before purchase!
Companies who have not produced dies are!
Eyelets definitely out of fashion...but on occasion I still use them and with the Cropadile II they go anywhere on the page along with a hole punch anywhere on the page including 12 x12.
What else, omg....the list could go on and on!

Thanks Killarney_Rose, lots of info for me! I do have the original cricut and the old sizzix. Is the cricut still in the loop? I know theres a larger one out now, is there a machine more popular than the cricut? Thanks to all you kind ladies for all your information and tips.
Silhouette Cameo, hands down!Sandradeeh wrote:Thanks Killarney_Rose, lots of info for me! I do have the original cricut and the old sizzix. Is the cricut still in the loop? Welcome to acot and welcome back to scrapping!
My favorite tool is the silhouette cameo! Almost any computer-based cutter out there now is awesome. I recently sold one for the Cameo b/c of the less expensive price and it being MAC compatible.
