A Cherry On Top began offering quality digital scrapbooking items to customers nearly eight years ago. Some of our designers have been with us from day one. We appreciate how each one has grown and shared talent with our community and customers.
Unfortunately, the digital industry experienced changes which caused a significant decline in overall digital scrapbook purchasing. We are forced to close our Digital Shoppe because of this. The closing will officially take place on April 30, 2015. Purchased downloadable files will remain hosted on our site through May 31, 2015.
Please take a moment and check out our digi selections. Our digi designers have created incredible digi elements and kits for YOU!
Oh no....sad time for the digi scrappy world. I'm a paper scrapper, but I did enjoy purchasing digi doggie kits as I loved to be able to print as I needed.
Brandy
I feel the same. Also a paper scrapper, but do own many kits for use on my layouts!!! Sorry to hear this news!
Susan
It's sad to see any aspect of a business closing down. I esp feel for the digi-scrappers here
Very, very disappointed here. This site is my first online scrappy home, after discovering there was more to scrapping than Creative Memories lol. And this is where I got my push to start digital scrapping, which has suited my life better in this phase. I still play with paper for projects, although most of my scrapping has turned digital. Unfortunately, the changes that occurred when we lost the ACOT in-house creative team I think hurt the digi scrapping side a lot. I honestly haven't felt much support for my digi scrapping from the site, although the board members have been wonderful. I remember one Guest Designer who originally said all the Guest Designer Challenges were open to paper scrapping only! What the Heck!!!!! That changed, but I've felt shut out for some time. Again...not by the board members, who remain some of my dearest friends even if we haven't ever met face to face. I kind of feel like I'm regarded as the ugly stepchild because I'm not a big paper user. My life has been busy enough in other directions that I know I haven't spent much time here (the newer people may not even realize how much I used to be involved lol), but it's always been home and the first place I come back to. I'm really hoping that doesn't change too.
This digi scrapper is sad to hear, too. This makes me curious though "Unfortunately, the digital industry experienced changes which caused a significant decline in overall digital scrapbook purchasing. " I personally still purchase as much or more as I used to and wasn't aware of any "changes" to the industry so it must be something behind the scenes.
This is sad. I am mostly a paper scrapper, but dabble a little in the digital, and it seems to me that there are just about as many digital scrappers here as paper. At least, looking at the gallery that's what it seems like. Sorry to see it go.

This does make me sad, but I'm not surprised. Only a few designers have been adding anything new to the digi shoppe, and ACOT really hasn't done much, if anything to promote the digi shoppe since the disbanding of the CT. It really makes me sad because now I feel like my digi pages won't really be welcome with challenges, etc. Since I CT for several designers, I probably won't get to share my work here much, not that anyone will really miss it, but I will miss sharing it.
Laura
I too am sad for my digi-scrapping friends. But, not surprised, I have seen several digi-only sites close in the past year.
My challenges will ALWAYS be open to digi scrappers, and I hope I have never made anyone feel otherwise!!! Your pages have been great inspiration for me, even though I am a paper only gal. I hope we do not lose your talent here!
Susan
Of course we would miss seeing your work if you were to stop sharing it with us!!! OMG I love seeing your pages! Just because the digi shoppe is closing and you CT for several of the designers doesn't mean you should stop posting and sharing your work here! All my challenges are open to paper AND digital, and that doesn't change just because ACOT will no longer have a digital shoppe here. Digi scrapping is still scrapping and you had better keep posting your layouts here!!! I don't want to hear otherwise!!! Besides... you can not deprive us of any new Paisley layouts that you might do.Art_Teacher wrote:This does make me sad, but I'm not surprised. I would certainly miss seeing your work. I'm not a digi scrapper, but I cannot begin to count the number of ways you've inspired me or challenged me! In fact, I did a layout last night of a recent road trip and I lifted your idea of making a banner out of a road map! It looks great!Art_Teacher wrote:This does make me sad, but I'm not surprised. You better keep posting!
OCD is not an adjective. It is not a personality quirk. It is not synonymous with being organized. It is a complex and debilitating mental health illness that affects people of all ages and walks of life, and is defined by the presence of unwanted, intrusive thoughts and repetitive actions. I am an OCD warrior and I fight for my son.
Laura, please do not stop sharing your work here because ACOT is getting rid of digi shop. I'm a paper scrapper and I'm always blown away when I see your beautiful layouts. PLease keep sharing your work!Art_Teacher wrote:This does make me sad, but I'm not surprised. Are you kidding? You are the adorable, lovable and huggable stepchild... lol. Please stay involved here whenever you can.Ayla wrote:Very, very disappointed here. Laura - I love your work. Please stay and share it here - you inspire me in my scrapping, whether I scrap digi or paper.Art_Teacher wrote:This does make me sad, but I'm not surprised. This makes me sad, too. I started here as a digi girl. I scrap paper now, but digi remains in my heart. I am unaware of "the digital industry experience changes...". Can you please tell us what those changes are? I hope that my switching to paper scrapping didn't kill the digi world!Kristin wrote:A Cherry On Top began offering quality digital scrapbooking items to customers nearly eight years ago. Aww...thanks everyone. I'm feeling the love. Still sad to lose the digi shoppe...wonder where my designers are going to sell their awesome designs , now.

Nancy and Laura, I agree with everyone's sentiments--you two have inspired me greatly in challenges and overall just seeing your work on here. It doesn't matter to me if it's digi or paper--honestly your work seems to have a 3D "feel" to it, like I consider "good art" (lol, not stepping on your art teaching toes, Laura) that I look at and think I could reach out and touch it! (Hope I'm explaining that like I want it to come out!) I hope you both continue to post here. Your work is always welcome in my two little challenges also.
Kim
