I have to say this is my home regardless. Unfortunately in business you have to do what's right for your business. Personal feelings have to be set aside and business decisions have to be made. I'm sure ACOT has something up their sleeve and who knows they may decide to add CT members in the future! We as scrappers should always strive to do different things and if you tried something new and liked it, let us all know! We're all here to inspire and support one another. We don't need a label to do that

I have been so sad with this latest turn of events, and with many of the things I have been reading on this thread. I LOVE this place. It is my cyber home. It is the site I am always signed in to, the site that I always go to first thing in the morning, the site that I am constantly checking in on throughout the day, and the site that I will even check in on with my iPhone or iPad if I am not home. I can't say that about any other site. I have made a lot of friendships here, and I thoroughly enjoy seeing every one's work and ideas. This goes for the Cherries in general, not just the CT members. As much as I LOVE the CT and their warmth and their talent, I also LOVE all the other Cherries here, who are also warm and very talented. To say the site is totally defined by the CT, I don't know if I can go that far. Don't get me wrong, I love the CT and appreciate all the time that they put in and everything that they do! But I am not going to leave this community if there is no longer one. Maybe it is because I don't do any other mbs, scrappy or otherwise. Maybe it is because I don't do Facebook. Maybe it is because I am socially challenged and found a place here where I have made many friends and I feel so totally comfortable. I just can't see leaving because there may not be a CT anymore. On the other hand, I may very well be in the minority here, and as someone else pointed out, all scrappy sites have a CT, so where would that leave us? It seems from what I have been reading that many people will leave this site.

Kristin implied that she has something else in mind for us. I know we can't fathom what could be better than having a CT, but we should give her a chance to see what she has in mind. Change isn't always bad, it just takes getting used to. There are many things in life that prove just that.

So I am still a loyal Cherry who will stick around. My friends are here. Many of them are former CT members. All of them are so talented and they so "get" me and the whole scrappy addiction thing. Who else would understand why I have enough papers to wall paper my entire house, or why I can't stop buying scrappy supplies, and why I just love to look at my stuff and drool over it. Who else gets that? I thought I was nuts until I started seeing pics of everyone else's scrappy rooms and scrappy supplies. I made dh look at the pics to show him that our house isn't the only one that looks like it contains it's very own Michael's. I have so much in common with you all, and I love it here.

I hope that, as someone said, we aren't looking at the mb being taken down completely. I honestly didn't get that impression from Kristin's post, but it is hard to say. We don't know what prompted this decision, but as Amy said you have to do what's right for your business, and I'm sure Kristin is trying to do just that. So I am anxiously waiting to see what it is that she has planned for us, and am still going to be here hanging out with my Cherry friends.

As a digital designer at another store that does not have a store CT (and has not in the whole year and a half that I have been there despite store owner promises and even putting out CT calls) I have to say that I think ACOT is making a huge mistake. Maybe ACOT is big enough in the digi world to survive without a CT out there posting layouts and promoting the designers. But probably the designers will just have to get their own personal CT instead. It is very hard to find time to both design and promote unless you are one of those speedy designers that can produce a kit in a night. (I'm most certainly not!)

If any of the digi CT want something to do, just pm me if you would like to be on my personal CT (I have a lot of pet kits )

Other than my Nana-ism about doors closing and opening, I have been pretty silent here about this. I have been around the block a few times and have learned this about life and change. Change is the only constant in life. What we do with change is our choice. We can fight it, we can deny it, we can let it become a burden or let it wear at us; we can let it make us sad or angry. OR, we can make other choices. I choose to accept this change and deal with it in the way it best works for me and for the very close friends I have made here at ACOT. If I choose to stay, it will be my decision made for me by me for my reasons. If I go, the same applies. And sometimes we have to make hard choices. The hardest one I made in a long, long time was submitting my resignation from this ct last Dec.

Change is not bad or good; it just is!

WOW. I hope the new plans are announced soon - I kept waiting and waiting to hear about a new CT call!!

I totally plan my spring schedule around ACOT's NSD crop so *PLEASE* let us know ASAP if that is not happening. Seriously - as part of a chain of events it actually influences when and if we're visiting relatives overseas this year!.

I know there has been attrition as the paper CT has declined and I agree w/the others who say the challenges, CT inspiration and crops are what has brought and kept so many of us to this wonderful community! I for one will re-mention that I would be happy to help with monthly challenges as well as other duties that formerly belonged to the CT if help is needed.

There will be an ACOT NSD crop. It just won't be the same format as before.

I'm very sad to hear the CT will no longer be - I love them and the pep and inspiration they bring to the board. I'd just like to say thank you to all the CT, past and present, paper and digi, you have been amazing!

I hope that whatever ACOT brings next will be new and exciting and will keep everyone here. I'm not a fan of change, but Jules is right, you have to find a way to deal with it one way or the other.

I am truly hoping this isn't the company shooting itself in the foot. That has been happening at so many lss, and on line scrapbook business as of late. Changes are difficult if not for the best, and from what I've been reading about "Drama" behind the scenes, it seems that's it's been a very unwise spiteful decision- my apologies if I'm wrong - I'm only surmising from what I've been reading.


I love this company - and while my lss is up in the air as to whether it's moving or closing - I thought I always have "ACOT" to go to for inspiration and products. Very sad, and this can be very unfortunate for both us and the owners. We can only wait and see.



Let's just all be positive right now, and hope it's all for the best.

As the previous CT coordinator, let me assure you that this decision was not based on drama. The paper team got along SOOOO WELL for so many years. These girls were my FAMILY. The digi team is cohesive, as well...and to be fair...Janell, Angie, Eg and Britt are amongst MY BFFs, even though they are screen lickers


I had personal issues and I wasn't around when I should have been. Enough said.

That was my reaction as well...it not the responsibility of only one to maintain nor to dismantle.... I think it is just frustrating to not know the reasons being a person who likes to know the "why's" of things, but it is NOT the fault of one person!

You are right... we are here for each other, and still will be. Look at all the fun threads and challenges that people do on their own! If we choose to stay here, I think we can be assured others will be there to share as well.

Barb I totally agree with everything you said. I love the MB and treasure all of the friendships I have made here too. I more then likely will stay here, don't get me wrong I will miss the CT, but like Barb said, ALL of the Cherrires are wonderful and talented people. ACOT has excellent customer service. I have ordered from other sites and I no longer do because none of them can even come close to ACOT. I enjoy the Secret Sisters and the monthly Envies too much to leave. I agree it is hard not knowing what is going to happen next, but I just think we all need a little bit of patience.

I want to thank ALL of the CTs past and present for sharing their talents in the gallery, on the board and in their reveals. I've learned a great deal and I appreciate their artistic gifts and the immense amount of time that being a CT must have entailed. Since I also have learned a lot from all the Cherries, I will continue to visit the gallery to see their work which also inspires me.

Here's something I thought of this morning: How many layouts do I have Saved here? Maybe 50? How many have I actually used for direct inspiration or to lift? Less than 10! I bet we all have some, and we can go back to those whenever we want. Also I know some people do every challenge every month, but I certainly do not. I keep the lists (and I'm guessing they're archived here) so I can go back to, say, March of 2009 and do some of those! Sketches can be used multiple times for very different layouts and many other challenge ideas can translate through the years. If I did a page a day I might run out of inspiration in a year or so, lol, but I don't. Then there are the class transcripts I was going to read/use & never did.... So even if we don't have a lot of new ideas in the timing or method that we're used to, I think most of us still have plenty stored up here to work with! I've been clearing stuff off my computer getting ready to set up my new one and it's been good to get rid of stuff I don't want as well as re-discover things I do want. I can do the same here and I'm excited!

Change is a part of life. What I find unfortunate here is such an announcement being made without the rest of the story. What's Next?

There is much speculation here, sorrow, and hurt from how I am reading this thread.

I am not as much of an active member as I once was as change has taken me in different directions. I have seen this board go from a cat box to a mature inspirational board. I very much like what this board has become and believe the Creative Team present and past is fully responsible for that.
So Kristen, What's Next. Spill the beans before we all have a heart attack!:-D

I am also sorry - and a bit shocked - to hear this. Although I have been on this site for many years, my participation in crops, challenges, and the message board has often been sporadic. But I always knew that when I did return, I would be warmly welcomed back by old friends.

It is because of the ACOT CT that I decided to venture over to the dark side and try my hand at digital. Their support, encouragement, and advice were invaluable. Now that I'm overseas again - digital is just so much easier. And I REALLY didn't want to pack up my stuff again. Shoot, my scrappy stuff is better traveled than most people!

Put me in the group that is anxiously waiting to hear what ACOT has in mind. Hope they have something good to replace the inspiration, friendship, and fun that the CT has provided to everyone!

Sad but I guess whatever happens . . . . . well happens. Not the first major shakeup on this board since I joined it more than 11 years ago. I will always have the real life and computer friends I have made on here. Every time one of these major changes comes along, folks complain or say it will never be the same again but still the ACOT board keeps on keeping on. I guess none of us likes change but what can you do about it. sigh
